Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor had been one of the most successful pairs of present bollywood films. Their performance over the last 5 years had been appreciated by the audience and the films had also brought revenue.

In 36 China Town, both of them performed in a crime thriller film where a murder took place at 36 China Town and Akshay Khanna, the detective in the film investigated the case. Even Shahid and Kareena were also investigated as it was not known who had committed the murder. The truth was unearthed at the end of the film and it was found that servants in the house were the murderers.


In Chup Chup Ke, Shahid pretended to be a deaf and dumb person. He worked in the house of Kareena Kapoor who was deaf and dumb, along with Rajpal Yadav as their employer Paresh Rawal had debts to be paid to Om Puri, and the employees were kept in the house till the debt was paid. It was a serio-comic film and both Shahid and Kareena had portrayed the deaf and dunb part very well.


They had probably provide their best performance in the film Jab We Met. Kareena had an affair with a person who could not take her home and tell his relatives about it and marry her. She met him last at time Shimla and then met Shahid Kapoor. During the journey Kareena shared her story with Shahid and he conveyed her feelings to the person who had engagement with Kareena. Shahid told the person how much Kareena loved him and made him realise what a mistake he had made by rejecting her. At the end of the film Kareena married Shahid who was a better human being. The film was one of the most successful films of 2007, with hit songs like ‘dil mouja hai mouja”, “yeh isqh kya hai”, etc.


The viewers expect the same pair to act in more films in the years to come and continue their good work which they had shown in the last 5 years.
