Abhishek and Rani had formed a successful combination and complimented each other in the bollywood films that they had acted together. Rani Mukherjee had been one of the most talented actresses of recent times and showed her potentiality in acting in role of a blind girl in the film Black.
Both Abhishek and Rani had very well in the film Bunty Aur Babli. The film relates to a story of two persons who are not interested to live a secured life by sticking to one job and continuing with it. They had led a unstable life and went on getting involved in cases relating to cheating, criminal misappropriation, etc.
But due to application of their wisdom, they never got caught and the police always reached the scene of occurrence after their act was over. The songs in the film were extremely successful like “chote chote shaharon me”, “mera chain wain sab ujra”, etc. Aishwaria Rai gave an amazing performance in the item number “karja re” in the film.
Eventually Big B arrested both of them when Abhishek for the first time bought a train ticket and was thinking in terms of living a life with honesty. But as Rani Mukherjee already gave birth to a child, Big B fell sympathetic and allowed both of them to escape from the goods train where he caught them.
Both of them were appreciated for their performances in the film Yuva. Yuva was based on the story of young students at the backdrop of unrest existing in Kolkata. The students got involved in the unrest either by themselves or they were dragged into the incidents. Notable roles were played by Ajay Devgan and Vivek Oberoi in addition to Rani and Abhishek.
The song in the film “kabhi neem neem” picturised on Rani and Abhishek became a big hit. The other successful film of the leading pair, include Bus Itna Sa Khwab Hai. Last year Rani Mukherjee showed her skills even in Laga Chunari Me Daag which was bsed on life of women in Benaras. The viewers expect both Rani and Abhishek to act together again in bollywood films in future.
