The presence of superstar Salman Khan had made film Pathan of superstar Shahrukh Khan a blockbuster.

In 2 days film Pathan had done business of 120 crores. It is going to end up as a blockbuster with a budget of 250 crores. In 2019, the Indian Government revokes Article 370, which grants special status for Jammu and Kashmir. The news impacts a cancer-ridden Pakistani army general, Qadir, who decides to exact vengeance against India. He signs a contract with Jim, who leads "Outfit X", a private terrorist group. Meanwhile, Pathaan, a vulnerable RAW agent, and his senior officer Nandini open a unit dubbed Joint Operation and Covert Research (JOCR) which recruits agents, who were retired from trauma and injury in the past, but still have a passion to serve the country. With RAW joint secretary, Colonel Sunil Luthra's acceptance, Pathaan and his team head to Dubai to stop Outfit X's plans of attacking the President of India at a scientific conference, but realize that their plan actually kidnapping two scientists Dr. Sahani and Dr. Farooqui. Jim attacks the scientists's convoy and Pathaan tries to stop him. A fight ensues, where Jim manages to escape with Dr. Sahani, while Dr. Farooqui is saved. At the headquarters, Luthra reveals that Jim was a former RAW agent, who was declared dead years ago, but actually faked his death in order to seek vengeance against his country for letting his wife and unborn child killed at the hands of Somalian terrorists. Pathaan learns about the codeword dubbed "Raktbeej" and also that the dead persons in Dubai were ex-secret agents/soldiers and their money was transferred to Rubina Mohsin, a Pakistani doctor in Spain. He travels to Spain and is captured by Jim's men, where he also learns that Rubina is an ex-ISI agent. When Jim leaves his hideout, Rubina attacks Jim's men and escapes with Pathaan. Later, Rubina reveals that Raktbeej is in Moscow, where Jim is after stealing it. The duo travel to Moscow and steals the Raktbeej before Jim. Pathaan and Rubina manage to gain access to the tower where the Raktbeej is held, and manages to steal it, but Rubina betrays Pathaan and has him captured by the police. It is revealed that Jim actually used Rubina to make Pathaan steal Raktbeej for himself by using his weakness for emotions. Pathaan is taken to prison by train, but is left to die at the hands of prisoners. He battles with the prisoners where Avinash "Tiger" Singh Rathore arrives to save him, as informed by Nandini through Morse code. Pathaan and Tiger thwarts the policemen and convoy in a gunfight and escapes. 3 years later, Pathaan travels to Africa and captures Jim's henchman Raafe, and escapes. He later meets Nandini at his hideout in Russia and reveals about Jim purchasing two saber missiles, where Nandini reveals Rubina's location in Paris. Pathaan meets Rubina, who reveals that the Raktbeej is a smallpox-designed mutated virus which will kill a person within a few hours and Jim is planning to spread the virus with the reluctant help of Dr. Sahani. She also reveals that she felt guilty about betraying Pathaan without knowing that her country would plan such heinous attacks. Rubina reveals the location of Jim's lab, where Pathaan and his team attack the lab and manages to recover one orb which contains the virus, while the other orb is with Jim, who escapes with it. Pathaan and his team head to the Indian Institute of Contagious Diseases (IICD) to prepare a vaccine for the virus, where Jim calls them and reveals that the orb has already spread the virus in the lab. The infected scientists, along with Nandini die in the lab, which makes Pathaan determined to catch Jim. The lab is destroyed in a blast to prevent the spread of the virus. Jim provides an ultimatum to evacuate Indian soldiers out of Kashmir within 24 hours. Pathaan interrogates Raafe about the location of the missile, and he learns that the missile is situated in Afghanistan. By luring Jim's soldiers into a trap, Pathaan, Rubina, and his team attack Jim's base where Qadir is killed by Rubina before activating the virus. Pathaan chases after Jim with a jetpack, and they crash land in a cabin. Meanwhile, Rubina finds that the Raktbeej is not in the missile, but is in a passenger bounded airplane landing towards Delhi, where she informs Pathaan, who finds that Jim has the detonator. Luthra calls the air traffic control to prevent the plane from landing in Delhi. In the cabin, Pathaan and Jim fight where despite getting stabbed by Jim, Pathaan steals the detonator and deactivates Raktbeej, thus saving the passengers, and kills Jim by throwing him off the cliff. After this, Pathaan is reinstated and made as the head of JOCR, while Nandini is posthumously awarded for her bravery. In the post-credits scene, Pathaan and Tiger are seen thinking about retiring and suggesting young agents who can replace them, without revealing their names. It will definitely be a blockbuster and cross 300 crores business. The director Ali Abbas Zafar has been outstanding. Salman Khan was brilliant in his role that span between 18 years to 70s years. Sunil Grover, Katrina Kaif, Taboo and all the character artists did exceedingly well. The music and film locations were also noteworthy. The viewers were overwhelmed with the subject and presentation.

Vishal Shekhar had composed music for the film. The song “ooh lala ooh lala” sung by Bappi Lahiri and Shreya Ghoshal became super hit. The story of Silk Smitha had been played by Vidya Balan. She acted opposite Naseeruddin Shah, who was a renowned actor in the film.

But he exploited her. She loved Tushar Kapoor, the brother of Naseeruddin Shah. He also did not have the guts to marry her. At the end of the film Imran Hashmi, the director who hated her for her erotic performances, fell in love with her.

Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif’s new film Tees Maar Khan will do well. The film had been released on 24th December, 2010, before Christmas. Farah Khan had directed the film. The film had been produced by Shirish Kunder, Twinkle Khanna and Ronnie Screwwala. Vishal Shekhar and Shrish Kunder had composed music for the film.

The film is related to the story of a great thief played by Akshay Kumar. He had played the lead role in the film. Katrina Kaif had been an actress in the film. She had got a lot of help from Akshay Kumar and in term had helped him. Akshay Khanna is the other major character in the film who knew about Akshay Kumar’s activities.

In the film guest performances were given by Anil Kapoor and Salman Khan. Salman Khan had danced in the song “wallah re wallah” along with Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif. Sanjay Dutt had been the narrator in the film.

The story of the film had not been unique. But the good part of the film had been its music and the dance performances. Sonu Nigam had experimented with the style of singing in the song “tees maar khan” where he had shown his versatility. Sunidhi Chauhan and Vishal Dadhlani had done a brilliant job in the song “Sheila ki jawani”, which had been the most popular song in the film. Katrina Kaif had danced well in the song sequence.

But the film had not surprised the viewers. So there is every possibility of the film ending up being a hit but not a blockbuster. The pair of Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif had been accepted by the viewers. But the film does not have the same magic as that of Singh is Kinng or Namaste London. But the film will get a decent start and do well.

Ranbir Kapoor Priyanka Chopra starrer Anjaana Anjaani got a slow opening in its first week. The film was initially slated to be released on 24th September. Instead it was released on 1st October, 2010, after the Allahabad High Court verdict on Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya.

Anjaana Anjaani had been another big budget film after Dabaang. Ranbir Kapoor, a citizen of New York City had a huge loan of 12 million dollars. Priyanka Chopra, a citizen of San Francisco was also perturbed with her life and jumped from George Washington Bridge. While both of them wanted to commit suicide each one bumped into one another.

The coastguards saved them. Ranbir Kapoor very soon deliberately got himself hit by a car while Priyanka Chopra fell on the bridge and broke her neck. They became intimate to each other during the period of hospitalization. They tried to commit suicide 5 times in their lives without success.

They decided to commit suicide on 31st December. 20 days were left in their lives. So both of them tried to fulfill their unfinished dreams. They swam in Atlantic Ocean, went to Las Vegas, gave parties. At that time they came to know that they were attached to each other.

The film had been directed by Siddharth Anand, and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and Sharan Kapoor. The music had been composed by Vishal Shekhar. Some of the songs were very impressive like “aas pass khuda” sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, “anjaana anjaani” sung by Vishal Dadlani and Shilpa Rao, “tujhe bhula diya” sung by Mohit Chauhan, Shekhar Ravijiani and Shruti Pathak.

The timing of the release may have been one of the reasons for having slow response. Otherwise Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Zaid Khan acted well. With Dabaang doing a business of around 150 crores, Anjaana Anjaani has a pressure in terms of showing reasonable success.

But the film is worth watching and considering the huge popularity of superstar Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra, it is certain that slowly and gradually the film will pull crowds.

Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor paired together for the first time in the film I Hate Luv Storys. The film had been directed by Punit Malhotra and produced by C Ashwini Dutt and Karan Johar. Imran Khan had not shown any spark after his super hit debut in the film Jaane Tu Ya Jane Na. Sonam Kapoor had been longing for a successful film from a long time. Neither Sawaariya, nor Dilli 6 would have made her a super star. In that respect this film had a lot of importance in the career of Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor.

Sonam Kapoor in the film loved love stories. He was engaged with Sameer Dattani. But assistant director Imran Khan changed her life. He hated love stories. According to him having an affair is a kind of sickness which people have.

When Sonam Kapoor was employed as an art director in the set of a film where Imran Khan was the assistant director she hated Imran Khan. A number of other stories came into being and Sonam Kapoor awakened from her dream. The film revolved around the debate relating to loving love stories and hating love stories.

The music was composed by Vishal Shekhar. Some songs became popular namely “jab mila tu” sung by Vishal Dadlani, “bahaara bahaara” sung by Shreya Ghoshal and Sona Mahapatra. But the film was slow in certain respects.

Even then, the soothing performance of Sonam Kapoor, Imran Khan and the character artists like Anju Mahendra had a charming effect on the audience. The film had already earned Rs 22 crores. In the days to come it will do even better business.
