June Maliya and Sayani Ghosh came to Zee Bangla Mirakkel to promote Ekla Cholo. Actress June Maliya and Sayani Ghosh came to Zee Bangla Mirakkel Program to promote their new film Ekla Cholo. Incidentally the film was also shown in Zee Bangla Cinema on 18th January. 2015. Director Sudeshna Roy also came in the show to tell the story of the film Ekla Cholo. The film had been directed jointly by Sudeshna Roy and Abhijit Guha. It has produced by Nideas Creations and Production Pvt. Ltd. Sayani Ghosh played the lead role in the film. She portrayed the character of a single mother. June Maliya played the role of the mother of Sayani Ghosh who was also a single mother. But significantly it had been a comedy film. Thinking about single mother, the first impression which into mind is that the film must have talked about struggle of a mother. But it was not the case. When Mir Afsar Ali asked Sudeshna Roy to tell the story of the film, she said Sayani Ghosh wanted to be a single mother without marrying any male husband. So she searched sperm donors and with artificial implant became pregnant and gave birth to a child. But in the process she got a lot of help from her boyfriend played by Koushik Roy. So eventually Sayani Ghosh came to know about her father and the husband of June Maliya and agreed to marry Koushik Roy after giving birth to the baby. All the judges in the show namely Paran Banerjee, Rajatavo Dutta and Srilekha Mitra appreciated the unique subject of the film. They also said that Sudeshna Roy always had done good work and she made the team of artists act very well in the film. The film had been released and is expected to do good business.

Rishi Kapoor stormed Zee Bangla Dance Bangla Dance Finale Program.

Rishi Kapoor. Superstar Rishi Kapoor stormed Zee Bangla Dance Bangla DanceFinale Program on Sunday, 16th September, 2012. Superstar Mithun Chakravarty invited Rishi Kapoor in the show. There were other celebrities as well in the finale. June Malia, Rachana Banerjee, Jishu Sengupta and other celebrities graced the occasion. The child dancers, both boys and girls all had devoted the finale with songs of Rishi Kapoor’s films. Dipanwita Kundu and other child dancers had already become famous among people by their performances in Zee Bangla. Two children performed on Rishi Kapoor’s song “dafliwale dafli bajaa” in the film Sargam. Jaya Prada and Rishi Kapoor danced in the original song. After the performance was over Rishi Kapoor said that those compositions of traditional songs were the most authentic compositions and they should not be forgotten. June Malia asked Rishi Kapoor come on stage and dance with her in the song “dafliwale dafli baja”. She also confessed that she was absolute admirer of Rishi Kapoor from her child days. Mithun Chakravarty delivered the certificates and asked Rishi Kapoor to give them to the finalists. Rishi Kapoor encouraged the children for their spirited performances. At the end of the show, Rishi Kapoor, Mithun Chakravarty and others danced in the song “meri umar ki naujawano” from Rishi Kapoor’s film Karz, with child participants and the celebrities.

Rachana Banerjee is back in Zee Bangla Didi No. 1 Program.

Rachana Banerjee Rachana Banerjee, the great anchor of Zee Bangla Didi No. 1 Program had been back in the role of the Anchor of the same program. Didi No. 1 is a popular program in Zee Bangla Channel which had been running for more than 2 years from 5.30 pm on all the days excepting Sundays. Anchor June Malia had a done brilliant job in anchoring the same program for almost a year. June Malia’s handling of the games and the participants were absolutely beautiful. She was very soft-spoken and polite. The studio where Rachana Banerjee Didi No. 1 used to take place in 2011, was different from the Studio where June Malia’s Didi No. 1 used to take place. Again the present Didi No. 1 Program which is anchored by Rachana Banerjee is taking place in another studio. The format of the game had remained the same. In Rachana Banerjee’s Zee Bangla Didi No. 1 also in the first round different games are played. On Monday she made the participants cut vegetables and make the Bengali dish pataler dorma. The second round consists of musical round. Viewers are happy with Rachana Banerjee and the program is definitely going to be successful.

Jhulan Goswami, Rashmi Sharma, Anamika Sen and Dola Banerjee stormed Zee Bangla Didi No. 1 Program.

Jhulan Goswami. Sportwomen Jhulan Goswami, Rashmi Sharma, Anamika Sen and Dola Banerjee stormed Zee Bangla Didi No. 1 Program on 27th April, 2012. All of them were invited by the anchor June Malia. Jhulan Goswami had represented Indian national women’s cricket team. She had become the captain of the Indian cricket team from 1st February, 2009. She had played as an allrounder, and showed skills in batting, bowling and fielding. She was right arm medium fast bowler. She won the ICC Women’s player of the year award in 2007. She had guided the Indian team to first test series in against England in England. Rashmi Sharma was the first Bengali woman to cross the English Channel by swimming. She gave her interview before June Malia. She said that there were sessions when she had to swim 24 hours during the day. She was the first Indian woman to cross the English Channel three times. Dola Banerjee had represented India in archery. She ranked 13 in 2004 Summer Olympics in women’s individual archery. She told June Malia that she joined Baranagar Archery Club at an age of 9 years. From that time she practices made her eligible for international competitions. Anamika Sen had represented India in football. She talked about her background and how she got interested in the game. There were several rounds in the program. The credit of June Malia lies in a bringing the sportswoman to limelight by asking them about things which the common man does not know.

Manali Dey, Mimi Chakravarty, Sohini Sarkar and others stormed Zee Bangla Didi No. 1 Program.

Sohini Sarkar Bengali actresses Manali Dey, Mimi Chakravarty, Sohini Sarkar and Disha Ganguly stormed Zee Bangla Didi No. 1 Program on 20th April, 2012. Anchor June Malia called all of them in the show. In answer to June’s question Disha Ganguly said that she had lived with her parents in Tanzania. Later she came to Kolkata. She got chance in Joint Entrance Examination both in medical and engineering. But instead of either of those careers she chose the career of acting. Presently she is playing an important role in Zee Bangla Serial Kanakanjali. Sohini Sarkar said that during her youth he stole a fruit from neighbour’s tree. Her mother gave the fruit back to the neighbour. She was brought up in North Bengal. Manali Dey had affair with Bengali singer Saptak. Saptak came in the show. He asked all the participants to sing songs. Everyone including Manali Dey, Sohini Sarkar, Mimi Chakravarty, Disha Ganguly sang the right song when they were asked to sing. In the third round, Sohini Sarkar was asked to play out the character of Sri Devi. She did it correctly. In the last round, Manali Dey answered maximum number of questions. She also answered all the correct answers in the Jackpot round. Manali Dey became Didi No. 1.

Imon Chatterjee, Biswanath Basu and others stormed Zee Bangla Didi No. 1 Program.

Imon Chatterjee and his wife Ananya Chatterjee, Biswanath Basu and his wife Devika Basu, Rupankar Bagchi and his wife Chaitali Lahiri, Jaijeet Banerjee and his wife Shreya Banerjee, stormed Zee Bangla Didi No. 1 program on holi special on 8th March, 2012. All these guests were called by the anchor June Malia. In the first round Imon Chatterjee, Biswanath Basu, Rupankar Bagchi and Jaijeet Banerjee were asked to stand on a platform and their wives were asked to throw balloons full of coloured water. It was very funny. In the second round, Anindya Chatterjee of Chandrabindu band came and sang the song “taker jatna nin”. All the celebrities were asked to sing songs. Imon Chatterjee sang the song “aloker oi jharna dharae”. Biswanath Basu sang the song “dum maro dum”. Rupankar Bagchi and Jaijeet Banerjee also sang their holi numbers. In the third round, Biswanath Basu and his wife Devika Basu were asked to do play acting. They acted out Big B’s performance in the song “rang barse” from the film Silsila. At the end of the show, Biswanath Basu and Devika Basu won the title by answering maximum number of questions. It was fun and colour everywhere. June Malia anchored the program in style.

Brilliant dancers Dipanwita Kundu, Jeet Das stormed Zee Bangla Didi No. 1 program.

Dipanwita Kundu. Brilliant dancers Dinpanwita Kundu, Jeet Das, Shalini Maitra and Akshat Singh stormed Zee Bangla Didi No. 1 program held on 2nd March, 2012. All these child dancers were winners in Dance Bangla Dance program. The anchor June Malia called their mothers Paramita Kundu, Rita Maitra, Dipali Das and Uma Singh. In the first round the mothers of the great dancers had to destroy balloons to get the sweets. In the second round singer Debojit came. He asked the celebrities to sing the songs “kuch na kaho kuch bhi na kaho”, and other songs. Dipanwita Kundu danced in the song of Sandhya Mukherjee “shonkho bajiye make ghare enechi”. She did an excellent job. Superstar Mithun Chakravarty who was the judge of Dance Bangla Dance program used to appreciated Dipanwita Kundu’s excellent dance performance and used to call her “panta bhater kundu”. June Malia even called up the mothers and fathers of the child dancers to dance along with their children. All the other dancers like Shalini Maitra, Jeet Das, Akshat Singh danced excellently in the program. In the third round June Malia asked a participant to play out the role of Salman Khan. She did so. June Malia anchored the program in an excellent way.

It was an entertaining experience. In the first round all the celebrities were supposed to catch lata fish. It was a difficult job as the fishes are slippery and did spill a lot of water. Geetasri Roy caught the maximum number of lata fish. In the second round singer Monomoy asked them musical questions. The participants answered the questions in their own way. Monomoy sang the song “hoton se chulon tum”, and asked questions from the song. In the next round there were other questions relating to cookery, word-puzzles, etc. June Malia asked the actresses about the new turning points in their life in the serials. Tilottama Dutta said she was going to get married in the serial Kanakanjali. The question was with whom she was going to get married, Rupam or Manas. At the end of the show Geetasri Roy became the Didi No. 1, as she answered maximum number of questions correctly. June Malia anchored the program very well.

Superstar June Malia brought Aditi Chatterjee, Swaralipi Chatterjee, Pritha Chatterjee and Mahua Halder in Didi No. 1 program held in Zee Bangla Channel on 6^th January, 2012. All the celebrities had acted in Bengali serials and films for the last few years.

Pritha Chatterjee said she had been resident of Sintheemore area in North Kolkata. In the first round where she was required to pluck fruits after standing on trampoline she got 30 points. Swaralipi Chatterjee also got 30 points and she also succeeded in plucking the fruits.

Pritha Chatterjee acted in Bengali serial Rashi. Aditi Chatterjee acted in Bengali serial Ek Akasher Niche. Swaralipi Chatterjee acted in Bengali serial Agniparikkha. In the musical round Neel was brought. He asked the celebrities to sing the mukhra of those songs for which he sang the antara. He sang the songs “mono dilo na bodhu” sung by SD Burman. He also sang RD Burman’s song “shono mon boli tomai”. The participants did well in that round.

At the end Swaralipi Chatterjee became Didi No. 1. She answered all the 5 questions in Jackpot round and won Bed, Airconditioner, Music System and other things. June Malia anchored the program very well.

June Malia, Rajatavo Dutta, Mithu Chakravarty, Subhashis Mukherjee, Sudipa Mukherjee and Rimjhim rocked Mithun Chakravarty’s Dadagiri Program on Zee Bangla Channel on 15^th December, 2011. Mithu Chakravarty, the wife of Sabyasachi Chakravarty was asked question relating to forest in Jalpaiguri, as Sabyasachi Chakravarty was a serious wildlife photographer.

Rajatavo Dutta mentioned that Mithun Chakravarty was an excellent cook. He went for shooting with Mithun Chakravarty in Mysore hotel, which was possessed by Mithun Chakravarty, where he had cooked Chinese, Continental and Indian dishes for Rajatavo Dutta, Rachana Banerjee and other Bengali actors.

Sudipa Mukherjee sang the song “pyar kabhi kam nahi karna” for Mithun Chakravarty and said that she had seen the film Prem Pratigya 18 times due to the brilliance of Mithun Chakravarty. Rajatavo Dutta said that Subhashis Mukherjee, who was later known as a comedian, was the best actor ever to play the role of Jayasingha in Rabindranath Tagore’s play Bisorjon which was a serious role.

In the Quick or Quack, Sudipa Mukherjee answered maximum number of answers. Mithun Chakravarty said he was neither bangal or ghati but BATI meaning Bengali and Truly Indian. Mithun Chakravarty was excellent in anchoring the program with the celebrities.

Superstar June Malia had rocked Zee Bangla Mirakkel Program on 28th September, 2011. She was the guest judge in addition to the other judges Rajatavo Dutta, Srilekha Mitra and Paran Banerjee.
Mir Afsar Ali every week had taken the viewers to a new place , on 28th September, 2011, to Durgapur, in West Bengal.

June Malia had been successful actress of many noted Bengali films like Ek Mutho Chobi, Mondo Meyer Upakhyan, etc. Vicky and Partho was the best performer of the day. They played a skit with Partho being a curd seller of a village. Both the participants had amazed the viewers in the past and did the same on 28th September, 2011.

It was amazing that Raju Middya did not get the maximum votes. He created characters of Durgapuja and mentioned that Paran Banerjee became Lord Shiva, Rajatavo Dutta became Mohishashura, Srilekha Mitra became Goddess Durga, when the Gods themselves went to see the idols in Durgapuja in Kolkata. May be that Raju Middya had created such a high standard that always the judges had expected even more.

Pallabi Mukherjee again did well. She made a skit relating to contesting election. She imitated both Koel Mallick and Rachana Banerjee as usual and did a great job. Sajal created a skit relating to Nightguard and did a great job. June Malia even danced on the song of “awesome sala”. The program was anchored excellently by Mir Afsar Ali.
