Indrani Dutta, Sathilekha Sengupta, Monami, Somlata stormed Zee Bangla Didi No. 1 Program. On 30th April, 2015, Rachana Banerjee called celebrities in Zee Bangla Didi No. 1 Program. The celebrities included Sathilekha Sengupta, Monami, Somlata and Indrani Dutta. The entire team had come to promote the new Bengali film Belasheshe. Sathilekha Sengupta

had acted opposite Soumitra Chatterjee in the film. They were paired together by Satyajit Ray in the film ghare Baire, way back in 1984. After 31 years they came back together. Soumitra played the role of an old person. He wanted to give divorce to his wife Sathilekha at old age. Their sons and daughters were brought together by the decision. Monami Ghosh, Indrani Dutta acted in the film while Somlata had sung song in the film. Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy directed the film. Shiboprasad Mukherjee came in the show to tell the story of the film Belasheshe. Sathilekha said that her experience of acting in Ray’s film Ghare Baire was grand. She never saw a director of the callibre of Satyajit Ray. She also said academically she never stood second in life. She had passion for theatre that made her actress. Indrani Dutta said that from childhood she learned dancing. She was first a dancer, then an actress. Her family members were good singers. Rachana Banerjee to sing the song “jagorone jay bibhabori”. Indrani Dutta danced in the song. Monami Ghosh also danced on the song of Bhuter bhobishyat. At the end of the show, Monami Ghosh answered maximum number of questions and became Didi No.1. Rachana Banerjee anchored the film very well.

Haimanti Shukla, Urmimala Basu, Sudipa Basu and their students stormed Zee Bangla Didi No. 1 Program. Rachana Banerjee invited Haimanti Shukla, Urmimala Basu, Sudipa Basu, and their students in Zee Bangla Didi No. 1 Program. All of them came with their students in the show. In the second round the lyrics of Manna Dey’s song “bachao ke acho morechi je prem kore” was played. It was composed by Sudhin Dasgupta and picturised on Mahanayak Uttam Kumar in 1972 film Chadabseshi. The words were missing. Sudipa Basu gave a right answer. Urmimala Basu and her student did a great srutinatak. The play was related to relationship of a mother who did not give birth to a child but rared up the child. They did extremely well. Urmimala Basu had been a great radio figure for the last 40 years in All India Radio. She and Jagannath Basu did a great job for the last 40 years. Sudipa Basu acted a small play with her student. The proverb relating to the play was “chorer mayer boro gola”. They showed a maid servant came to a house to work. She did her work. Her employer falsely implicated her for stolen goods. But police came up and found that the actual owner of the stolen property was the employer. At the end of the show Haimanti Shukla and her student gave maximum number of right answers and they became the Didi No. 1. Rachana Banerjee showed the importance of the singers, actresses, radio performers in the different fields sharing their skills to the next generations. That makes the importance of the skills delineated in a best way.Rachana Banerjee anchored the program very well.

Sabyasachi Chakavarty, Jayjit Banerjee, Bhaswar and Falguni Chatterjee and others stormed Zee Bangla Tumi Je Amar.

Sabyasachi Chakravarty, Jayjit, Bhaswar and others stormed Zee Bangla Tumi Je Amar. On 25th February, 2014, Prasenjit Chatterjee and Rachana Banerjee invited Sabyasachi Chakravarty and his wife Mithu Chakravarty, Falguni Chatterjee and his wife Rumpa Chatterjee (mother of actor Abir Chatterjee), Jayjit Banerjee and his wife, and Bhaswar Chatterjee and his wife Nabamita Chatterjee in the show Zee Bangla Tumi Je Amar. In the first round, the couples were asked to answer seven questions at the time of “shubho drishti”, with the eye-lashes not falling during answering. Each time the eye-lashes fell, marks were reducted. Sabyasachi Chakravarty and Mithu Chakravarty got the maximum points in that round and won prizes. In the second round, Falguni Chatterjee and Rumpa Chatterjee were shown three film clippings. In one clipping the scene was from film Hospital, where Suchitra Sen and Ashok Kumar were shown riding on a boat and Geeta Dutt’s song “ei shundor sharnali shondha” was sung. In the second clipping the scene was from the film Saptapadi, where Uttam Kumar and Suchitra Sen were shown driving on a motor-bike and Hemanta Mukherjee and Sandhya Mukherjee’s song “ei poth Jodi na shesh hoy tobe kemon hoto tumi boloto” was on. In the third clipping the scene was from the film Shankhabela, where Uttam Kumar and Madhabi Mukherjee were riding a car and Lata Mangeshkar’s song “aaj mon cheyeche ami hariye jabo” was on. Falguni Chatterjee was asked which of the vehicles he would have preferred if he had the option to ride with his wife. He said it was the boat in the river. Sabyasachi Chakravarty was asked if Mithu Chakravarty would have been given the option of offering him the three food items orange juice, coconut water and milk which one she would have offered. Sabyasachi Chakravarty said it was orange juice but Mithu Chakravarty said coconut. In the third round, the celebrities were asked to get inside a bhool-bhoolaiya and find a gold ornament and bring it for the wife. Sabyasachi Chakravarty and Jayjit Banerjee got stuck in a room, where Palash Adhikari with white wig asked them questions from the character of mother-in-law. Then they had to dance with cheer leaders and had to do snake dance. Bhaskar Chatterjee did it in the shortest time. At the end of the show, Sabyasachi Chakravarty and Mithu Chakravarty gave maximum number of answers and got the maximum number of prizes. Rachana Banerjee and Prasenjit Chatterjee anchored the program very well.

On Sunday, 3rd November, 2013, on the day of Laxmipuja and Diwali, Rachana Banerjee, the anchor of the program invited the singers in the program Zee Bangla Didi No. 1. All the singers in the program are popular in Bengal. Sohojma was one of the folk singers who sang a folk song. One of the specialities of her song presentation was that she always required another dancer to do play acting when she was singing. Jojo came on the stage and complimented Sohojma when she sang the palli geeti which is called folk song. Rachana Banerjee showed a fill in the blanks in the screen and asked Sriradha Banerjee to first fill up the missing words. Then she asked her to sing the song. It was Manna Dey’s song “lal nil sabujeri mela boseche” in Uttam Kumar’s film Chirodiner. Rachana Banerjee sang the song well. It was composed by composer Dr. Nochiketa Ghosh. Raghob Chatterjee came in the 2nd round which was musical round. He sang the song “allah ke bandeh”. He had classical orientation, so showed some skills in respect of such singing. Singer Sampa Kundu was asked to solve a riddle. There were 3 pictures shown in the screen. She was asked to mention the word. The answer would have been uniform which she could not say. In the fourth round relating to puzzles, Jojo answered the maximum number of answers and became Zee Bangla Didi No. 1. She did not play the rapid fire round at the end, but won a lot of prizes in the show. Rachana Banerjee anchored the program very well.

Rachana Banerjee, Jishu Sengupta stormed Zee Bangla Paribarer Puja

Rachana Banerjee, Jishu Sengupta stormed Zee Bangla Paribarer Pujo.

On the eve of Durgapuja, Zee Bangla Channel showed a 3 hour program from 7 pm on 6th October, 2013. Rachana Banerjee and Jishu Sengupta anchored the program. Presently Rachana Banerjee is the anchor of Didi No. 1 Program. While Jishu Sengupta is the anchor of Zee Bangla Saregamapa Program. On 6th October, the couples of different tele-serials shown in Zee Bangla Channel and other shows were brought in the program. Firstly the persons were asked about their plans in Durga Puja. Zee Bangla Mirakkel Champion Subhashis Mukherjee came and sang a parody song relating to Mahalaya. His changed the words of Dwijen Mukherjee song “jago tumi jago” to “bhago tumi bhago, chanda niyona”. He made everyone laugh at his performance. There was a dhunuchi dance. Srilekha Mitra, Dolon Roy, Sonali Choudhury, all danced in the event with the male participants like Shankar Chakravarty. At the end of the round, June Malia and her partner became the champion. There was arrangement for food, and the participants were given luchi, khichuri, payesh, and other food, which are offered during the days of Durga Puja. There was another round, where stones were laid down on the floor and the celebrities had to cross them to reach the summit. Rachana Banerjee did it herself with Jishu Sengupta. Sudipa Mukherjee also played in the round. Sonali Choudhury did it at the fastest time and became the champion. All the actors and actresses wore the traditional dress, including Bengali sarees and dhuti, Punjabi during the different events. All the actors and actresses of leading serials like Agniparikkha, Sati, Keya Patar Nouka, Boyei Gelo, and many other serials participated in the show. Rachana Banerjee and Jishu Sengupta did set the tempo of the program. They anchored the program very well.

Papiya Adhikari, Rita Koiral and others stormed Double Dhamaka in Zee Bangla Channel.

On 30th September, 2013, Zee Bangla Channel came up with double dhamaka. Both Rannaghar and Didi No. 1 were merged together in the same program. Rachana Banerjee and Sudipa Mukherjee anchored the program together. Celebrities like Papiya Adhikari, Rita Koiral, Papiya Sen and Tanima Sen played the game. In the first round, all the contestants had to cook different dishes out of Pomfret fish. The celebrity who cooked the best dish got the maximum points and most number of awards. Papiya Sen cooked Chilly Fish out of Pomfret in Chinese style. Rita Koiral cooked Posto Pomfret with the same fish. Tanima Sen cooked Sarshe Pomfret with the same fish. Papiya Adhikari cooked Pomfret curry in Orissa style. All of them did a great job. Rachana Banerjee said it was not possible to identify whose dish was the best. Sudipa Mukherjee finally judged Papiya Adhikari’s Pomfret curry in Orissa style the best dish. She got all the awards in the first round. In the third round which was a musical round actor Arjun Chakravarty came and asked musical questions. All the celebrities answered musical questions of Arjun Chakravarty. Everyone said they loved Arjun Chakravarty. Both Papiya Adhikari and Rachana Banerjee said that they were amazed to work in Oriya films during the early part of the career. The large cut outs of them really amazed them. Arjun Chakravarty sang the antara of Hemanta Mukherjee’s song “boshe achi potho cheye” from the film Shapmochon. The mukhra was sung by Tanima Sen. Sudipa Mukherjee helped her. Arjun Chakravarty asked Papiya Sen to sing a rabindrasangeet. Rita Koiral sang the song “sajanake liye” and also danced with Arjun Chakravarty. All the contestants sang their songs correctly and got full points. In the rest of the rounds Rita Koiral answered all the questions and became Didi No. 1. Rachana Banerjee asked each of the celebrities about their plans in the upcoming Durga puja. All had plans of shopping and seeing Durga idols in Kolkata.

Sudipa Mukherjee, Shukla Mukherjee, Sneha Chatterjee and others stormed Zee Bangla Didi No. 1 Program.

Rachana Banerjee invited the entire team of Rannaghar Program in Zee Bangla Didi No. 1 Program on 19th August, 2013. The team included Sudipa Mukherjee who is the anchor of the program, Shukla Mukherjee, Sneha Chatterjee and Sonali Choudhury. Zee Bangla Rannaghar Program is shown everyday at 5 pm in Zee Bangla Channel. All these hosts are famous for hosting cookery shows in Zee Bangla. Ranchana Banerjee asked Sudipa Mukherjee about her experience in the show. She said the program had crossed 2500 episodes and is running excellently. Sneha Chatterjee said that she had a great experience in hosting the shows in the houses of renouned personalities. Shukla Mukherjee is called kitchen queen and had written many books of cookery. Sonali Choudhury said she enjoyed the anchoring of the program on Sundays. In the first round, the contestants were asked to make samosas with the ingredients. Sudipa Mukherjee did in shortest time and won Kitchen Chimney as prize. In the second round Biswanath Choudhury came in the musical section. He had also anchored the Rannaghar program for some episodes. He said he had excellent experience of going to Purulia. In the villages of Purulia he met the common villagers and their simplicity touched him. He also said there was red palash flowers in the hills of Purulia which looked like red carpet. He also understood the poverty of the common man in the village. All the contestants were asked to sing songs in the second round. Shukla Mukherjee sang the song “sadher lau banailo more bairagi”. Biswanath Choudhury stayed in the show for one more round. All the cookery show anchors brought with them brilliant delicacies. Sudipa Mukherjee brought khitchuri. Sonali Choudhury brought hilsa fish. Biswanath Choudhury brought sweet curd ( mishti doi). Shukla Mukherjee and Sneha Chatterjee brought sweets. The palatable dish was eaten by all the participants and Rachana Banerjee. At the end of the show Sneha Chatterjee gave all the answers in the rapid fire round and won all the prizes that were left over. The other three contestants Sudipa Mukherjee, Shukla Mukherjee and Sonali Choudhury had won many other prizes. Rachana Banerjee anchored the program very well.

Dolly Basu, Rita Koiral and other stomed Zee Bangla Didi No. 1 Program.

Actresses Dolly Basu, Rita Koiral, Swagata Mukherjee and Chaitali Chakravarty stormed Zee Bangla Didi No. 1 Program. The sets of Zee Bangla Didi No. 1 Program caught fire some times back. The shooting continued in other studio and the program again revived the popularity. Rachana Banerjee brought actresses Dolly Basu, Rita Koiral, Swagata Mukherjee and Chaitali Chakravaty in the show on 19th April, 2013. Dolly Basu is a veteran actress of the serial Raashi. Swagata Mukherjee is both a singer and an actress very famous in the serial Swapath and Kanakanjali. Chaitali Chakravarty is a successful actress of the serial Swapath. Rita Koiral had acted for more than 20 years. She had acted in films and serials. In the second round, actor Koushik Banerjee came to ask musical questions. Rita Koiral sang a romantic song and danced with Koushik Banerjee. When Koushik Banerjee sang the song “phoolon ka taaronka” for her she said why did he make her a sister? Koushik Banerjee said as all the actresses played negative characters he feared them. Dolly Basu said her role was taken so seriously in villages in Bengal that sometimes she heard the audiene say if they get her they will bear her up. Chaitali Chakravarty danced and sang the song “tere hoto senese yaar chipkali saiyan fevicol se”. Swagata Mukherjee her own song. In the thirs and the fourth rounds, Rita Koiral answered the maximum number of questions. She said that it was an honour for her when director Aparna Sen once told her that she was also a fan of her acting. In the third round Swagata Mukherjee was asked to show the acting of Gabbar Singh in the film Sholay. She did very well. At the end Rita Koiral became Didi No. 1. Rachana Banerjee anchored the program very well and maintained the wit in the program while dealing with the celebrities.

Moushami Chatterjee gave excellent interview in Zee Bangla Didi No. 1.

Romantic actress Moushami Chatterjee came and glorified Zee Bangla Didi No. 1 Program on 11th April, 2013. Rachana Banerjee invited her to share her experience with the participants of the show. She shared her experience in working with Aparna Sen in the new Bengali film Gainar Baksho. A number of other actresses are also acting with her in the film including Konkona Sen Sharma,Srabanti Chatterjee, Saswata Chatterjee, Paran Banerjee and others. The film will be released in April, 2013. Moushami Chatterjee explained to everyone the story of the film Gainar Baksho. She played the role of the widow who died and her ghost created problems for the next generations. She was possessive about the ornament box and also the ornaments. In the next generation when Konkona Sen Sharma got married and came to the house, Moushami Chatterjee’s ghost tortured her. The reasons were obvious. At the very early age Moushami Chatterjee became a widow. She could not wear the expensive ornaments which she would have been entitled to wear had her husband survived. She was asked to cut the hair short and wear white dress. All those irritation and frustration culminated into the anger which she had for the next generations. So her ghost expressed those frustrations to the new generations. Moushami Chatterjee was very witty. When Rachana Banerjee asked her to tell about a funny incident. She said when she acted in the first Bengali film for the first time in Parineeta, director Tarun Majumdar gave her role against her wishes. Everyone gave importance to Jui Choudhury in the film. When Jui Choudhury was asked for water and she replied saying she wanted one glass of water, Moushami Chatterjee told that she wanted 2 glasses of water. No one gave her even one glass of water. Rachana Banerjee wished her with all success in the film Gainar Baksho.

Rachana Banerjee’s Didi No. 1 Set was burst to flames.

Zee Bangla Didi No. 1 Program was running in Zee Bangla Channel for a long period of time. It was a very popular show. On Friday, 5th April, 2013, the set of Zee Bangla Didi No. 1 Channel in Dassani Studio in Tollygunge caught fire. Rachana Banerjee herself was shooting inside the studio. All the technicians were there inside the studio. It is a very unfortunate event. The fire-brigade came and brought the situation under control. But huge damage was caused by the fire. Rachana Banerjee was sent to hospital. She got traumatized with the situation. No person died, but many were injured. The studio had been sealed for some time. All the news channels in Bengal namely Kolkata TV, Star Ananda showed the Dassani Studio after the damage took place. It is a huge loss for the program Zee Bangla Didi No. 1. Other artists who were working in other studios came and get interview before the news channels. Biswanath Basu said he was shooting in another studio. The damage could have happened in any other sets as well. Actress Kalyani Mondol came and said that the Studios of Tollygunge should have better fire evacuation systems. The actors, actresses and technicians work within the studio with risk of life. If they are committed to entertainment of the audience then the studio owners should also care for the lives of the artists working within the studio. The viewers expect that the damage is recovered and the Zee Bangla Didi No. 1 Program continue in near future. The State Government of West Bengal should come forward and help the cuase so that Zee Bangla Didi No. 1 program continues in the same way as before.

Sneha Chatterjee stormed Zee Bangla Didi No. 1 Program

Actresses Sneha Chatterjee, Sujata Da, Suchandima Sen and Indrakshi Nag stormed Zee Bangla Didi No. 1 Program on 5th April, 2013. The anchor Rachana Banerjee called all of them on Friday. Sneha Chatterjee became Sneha Chatterjee Bhowmick after marriage. She has acted both in Bengali films as well as serials like Subanalata. In the first round the contestants were asked to eat panipuris or phuckas within short time. Sneha Chatterjee topped the group. All the contestants Suchandima Sen, Sujata Daa, Sneha Chatterjee Bhoumick and Indrakshi Nag agreed that their passion towards films and acting had brought them to the present profession. In the second round actor Biswanath asked musical questions. Sneha Chatterjee danced in the song “mai to raste se jar aha tha” which was picturised in the film Hero No. 1, where Govinda and Karishma Kapoor played the main roles. Biswanath said he was invited in the marriage of Sneha Chatterjee while Rachana Banerjee was not invited. In the third round Suchandrima Sen was asked to act out the song “chahe koi mujh jungle kahen” from the film Junglee. She showed the dance steps of Shammi Kapoor. The other contestants identified it and got points for that. In the fourth rounds relating to riddles Sneha Chatterjee Bhowmick asked the maximum number of questions and became Didi No. 1. In the last round which was rapid fire round, Sneha Chatterjee Bhowmick could not answer the question properly otherwise she would have won all the prizes.

Biswanath, Neel, Jayjeet and others stormed Zee Bangla Didi No. 1 Program.

Holi special was the added attraction of Zee Bangla Didi No. 1 Program on 27th March, 2013. Actors Biswanath, Neel Mukherjee, Jayjeet and Samrat came with their wives in the show. Rachana Banerjee anchored the program. In the first round the husbands were asked to stand near a background and the wives were asked to throw balloons full of colours. They failed to hit the balloons. Rachana Banerjee asked everyone stories relating to their romantic lives. Jayjit said that his wife was from North Bengal. When he took his wife to go to Lava, Lolegaon; she did two things in the journey. Either she slept in the vehicle or vomited. In the first case after the journey was over she gave birth to a child within the next few months. She again vomited during a journey to hill spot. This time it was due to other reasons. In the second round singer Shilajit came to perform in the show. He sang the song “tumi ja jinish guru”. Biswanath and Debaki sang the song “jay jay shiva Shankar”. Neel Mukherjee sang the song “ek tane te jemon temon.” All the singers did a great job. In the third round Biswanath was asked to play the character of Madhuri Dixit. His wife Debaki Mukherjee was asked to identify the character. Biswanath danced in the song “ek do teen char paanch” from the film Tezaab. In the fourth round, all the celebrities answered questions relating to riddles. Biswanath and his wife Debaki answered the maximum number of answers. So Debaki became the Didi No. 1 in the holy special episode. She participated in the rapid fire round. She could not win the round. But the gifts that she won were not taken back. Then all the celebrities played holi together with colours, gulal, aabir, etc. Rachana Banerjee anchored the program very well.

Rachana Banerjee stormed Zee Bangla Mirakkel Program.

Anchor Rachana Banerjee of Zee Bangla Didi No. 1 came and conquered everyone in the show Zee Bangla Mirakkel 7 Program on 4th March, 2013. Rachana Banerjee was invited as the guest judge in the show. The two other judges Paran Banerjee and Rajatavo Dutta were present. Srilekha Mitra was the other judge who had not been present on that day. Rachana Banerjee announced that there was Chaitra festival in the march of March, 2013. There will be huge number of prizes in that program. Participants will get an opportunity to go to foreign countries, get cars and huge numbers of expensive prizes. The new participants did well in the program. There were two girls who presented together. One talked about the actresses during the 1950s and 1960s. The other talked about the actresses of the present period. There was an old person of the age of 72 years who came and told jokes relating to old age. There was an act played by ex-finalists like Vicky, Partho, Sangeet Tiwary and actress Sneha. They acted a part related to the conversation of Adam and Eve. They did a great job. Vicky played the character of Isaac Newton. At the end of the show Apurbo Roy came and stole the show. He played the character of ghost. He said “jekhane bhooter bhoy” ,“sekhane Apurbo Roy”. Rachana Banerjee, Paran Banerjee and Rajatavo Dutta appreciated him a lot. They also appreciated his make up. Mir Afsar Ali said all the new participants are talented and brave to perform before a big panel.

Prashun Banerjee, Ashok Viswanathan, Madhumanti stormed Zee Bangla Didi No. 1 Program.

On 13th February, 2013, Rachana Banerjee called up renowned couples of Bengal in the Zee Bangla Didi No. 1 Program. The persons who came included All India Radio Employees Urmimala Basu and Jogonnath Basu, footballers Prashun Banerjee and his wife, footballer Goutam Sarkar and his wife and film director Ashok Viswanathan and his wife Madhumanti. Prashun Banerjee is the brother of famous footballer Pradip Banerjee also known as PK Banerjee. Significantly when Prashun Banerjee played in Mohunbagan Club, his friend Goutam Sarkar also played in Mohunbagan Club. All these personalities are very well known in Bengal. In the first round Rachana Banerjee asked the celebrities to put garlands on their wives. When Prashun Banerjee was asked by most notable moment of his life before Valentine’s Day, he said when his daughter was born it was the most notable moment, when he named her Prerona and when his son was born he named him Platini. Singer Indranil Sen came in the second round and asked the celebrities to sing songs on themes. Madhumanti sang the song “tumi je amar”. Indranil Sen sang SD Burman’s song “barne gandhe chande gitite” very well. Goutam Sarkar said he respected the footballers Prashun Banerjee and Samaresh Choudhury very much. In the third round, Madhumanti was asked to act out the character of the woman who ties hairs also works outside in office. Her husband Ashok Vishwanathan identified the idiom which she played. Urmimala Basu and Jagannath Basu did a small srutinatak. They conversed the character of a deaf person who never understood the words of the other speaker. Madhumanti and Ashok Viswanathan won the championship and Madhumanti played the rapid fire round and answered all the 5 questions in a row to become Didi No. 1 and win all the prizes available. Rachana Banerjee anchored the program before Valentine’s day very well.

Rupanjana, Saptak, Manali Dey and others stormed Zee Bangla Didi No. 1 Program.

Rupanjana Mitra On the day of Bijoya Dashami, Rachana Banerjee invited couples part of the Bengali entertainment industry in Zee Bangla Didi No. 1 Program. Actress Rupanjana Mitra came with her husband. Actress Manali Dey came with her husband Saptak. Actress Swaralipi Banerjee came with her husband. In the first round, Rachana Banerjee asked the wives to dress their husbands with new dhoti being given. The participants who could dress their husbands in the shortest time won maximum points. Wearing a dhoti is part of tradition on the day of Bijoya Dashami. In the second round singer Indranil Sen came in the show. He sang a song from his new durga puja album that had been released this year. He sang the song “akash dake aaj amay”. Then he asked the contestant to sing a song on the same theme. The child dancers, both boys and girls all had devoted the finale with songs of Rishi Kapoor’s films. Dipanwita Kundu and other child dancers had already become famous among people by their performances in Zee Bangla. Two children performed on Rishi Kapoor’s song “dafliwale dafli bajaa” in the film Sargam. Jaya Prada and Rishi Kapoor danced in the original song. After the performance was over Rishi Kapoor said that those compositions of traditional songs were the most authentic compositions and they should not be forgotten. June Malia asked Rishi Kapoor come on stage and dance with her in the song “dafliwale dafli baja”. She also confessed that she was absolute admirer of Rishi Kapoor from her child days. There was a child of 4 and a half years who had said that she liked to do a number of things like singing, dancing. But her mother was strict and the father was even more strict, so she was asked to study at every time. In the first round, children were given a device and asked to prick the balloons. Each balloons were filled with chocolates. So the job of the children was to prick the balloons and collect the chocolates which fell in the ground after they were pricked. There was a male child who wore a cap. Rachana Bannerjee asked him to open the cap. He was asked to say abcd. He said abcdxyz. It was hilarious. In the second round the children were asked to sing a song with the topic with which a child singer had said. Out of the 4 contestants most of the children did well. Their parents also came in the show. Rachana Banerjee anchored the program in style, with a lot of wit.

Rachana Banerjee Rachana Banerjee, the great anchor of Zee Bangla Didi No. 1 Program had been back in the role of the Anchor of the same program. Didi No. 1 is a popular program in Zee Bangla Channel which had been running for more than 2 years from 5.30 pm on all the days excepting Sundays. Anchor June Malia had a done brilliant job in anchoring the same program for almost a year. June Malia’s handling of the games and the participants were absolutely beautiful. She was very soft-spoken and polite. The studio where Rachana Banerjee Didi No. 1 used to take place in 2011, was different from the Studio where June Malia’s Didi No. 1 used to take place. Again the present Didi No. 1 Program which is anchored by Rachana Banerjee is taking place in another studio. The format of the game had remained the same. In Rachana Banerjee’s Zee Bangla Didi No. 1 also in the first round different games are played. On Monday she made the participants cut vegetables and make the Bengali dish pataler dorma. The second round consists of musical round. Viewers are happy with Rachana Banerjee and the program is definitely going to be successful.

The program ran for more than 1 year and so celebrations went on for the success of the program. Both Kumar Shanu and Rachana Banerjee became the guest judges on Sunday along with the regular judges Paran Banerjee, Rajatavo Dutta and Srilekha Mitra. The performers from India and Bangladesh performed for the last time in Zee Bangla Mirakkel 6 Program. From Monday Zee Bangla Saregamapa program will replace Mirakkel 6 program. Apurbo Roy played the character of Bhishma in the show. He acted in his patent style and said kill me, because the arrows were painful on his body. Kumar Shanu was amazed at this performance. Right from Abu Henna Ronnie, to Sangeet Tiwary, to Partho, to Fatik Purkayet all performed well, and was very nostalgic about the success of the Zee Bangla Mirakkel 6 program. Palash Adhikari did his ventroliquism with respect of Rabindranath Tagore’s story Kabuliwala. Even the mentors Dr. Krishnendu, Subhadeep and others all performed and started crying at the end of the program, as the program would happen for the time. Everyone worked like a family and as a team. Mir Afsar Ali sang the song “eso boss” and “awesomesala” with Rajatavo Dutta at the end of the show. Everyone ate a cake to be the testimony of success of Zee Bangla Mirakkel 6 program. Viewers will miss the Zee Bangla Mirakkel 6 program for sometime.

All these celebrities were big admirers of Mithun Chakravarty. In fact Anik Dutta the Bengali director, had become famous after his Bengali film Bhuter Bhabishyot had become super hit this year. Superstar Mithun Chakravarty asked him what was special about ghosts that he had made a film with the subject of ghosts when he had the option of making films with living human beings. In reply Anik Dutta said that his subject matter was to make people laugh. In Kolkata as the promoters are building new establishments by destroying the old, dilapidated houses, the ghosts are also not finding a place to stay in. The film actually talks about that. Mithun Chakravarty showed a clipping of film Bobby and asked about the director of the film. Obviously the right answer Raj Kapoor was mentioned. Mithun Chakravarty told Rachana Banerjee that she had acted in many telegu films, so what was Hyderabad famous for. She said it was famous for Pearls. Films of Abhishek Chatterjee was also shown. Rachana Banerjee asked if Mithun Chakravarty was driving in a car, and he was confronted with a beautiful girl, an old woman and a helpful friend whom would he given the lift. Mithun said that he would have given the key of the car to the friend and asked him to reach the old woman to her house. He would have walked with the beautiful lady. Everyone laughed at the answer of Mithun Chakravarty. Mithun Chakravarty anchored the program in style.
