Sudipa Mukherjee, Neel Mukherjee, Jayjit and others stormed Zee Bangla Dadagiri Program.

On 25th September, 2013, Sourav Ganguly invited celebrities Sayan Basu, Sneha Chatterjee, Sudipa Mukherjee, Neel Mukherjee, Jayjit Banerjee and Biswanath Basu in the program Zee Bangla Dadagiri Program. Sourav Ganguly asked Sayan Basu what was the meaning of her name Sayan Basu. She said she was born in July, during monsoon period. Srabon in Bengali indicated monsoon. Sayon was derived from Srabon, so her name was given Sayan Basu. Sneha Chatterjee said her husband who was and film editor, used to play cricket and big admirer of Sourav Ganguly. Sourav Ganguly told everyone that she had ably acted in the Zee Bangla Serial Subarnalata. Neel Mukherjee said his father also was a great theatre actor. Presently he is acting in one of the plays that his father had acted in the late 1970s. In the googly round Sneha Chatterjee gave very good answers. On the screen all the alphabets were shown and the word soap written. In the list of alphabets s was coloured red and the second was coloured half –red. She said it indicated daily soap. Sunday was a holiday and Saturday was half day, that was the reason they were coloured red. In the slog over round the participants answered the questions even before the options were put forward. The result was that most of the answers were wrong. Biswanath Basu pressed the buzzer relating to the question what was the actual name of music composer Jeet Ganguly. He could not answer that the original name was Chandrajeet Ganguly. Some of the questions asked by Sourav Ganguly were very intelligent ones. He asked which came first egg or chicken. The question did not mention’s the egg of which bird. The answer was the Dinosaurs came before human beings and other birds. So obviously the dinosaur’s egg came before the chickens. Neel Mukherjee asked Sourav Ganguly that if anyone wanted to create a film on the life of Sourav Ganguly, who will be the actor who he wanted to act out his role. Sourav Ganguly said that if such a film is made in future, he wanted to play the role. At the end of the show, Sudipa Mukherjee became the winner of the Zee Bangla Dadagiri Program. As no one could score 50 points, the cash amount for the fastest 50 was distributed among all the contestants. When the child contestant who used to carry the bats for Sourav Ganguly was asked who was the better actor among the celebrities, he said Neel Mukherjee.

Biswanath, Neel, Jayjeet and others stormed Zee Bangla Didi No. 1 Program.

Holi special was the added attraction of Zee Bangla Didi No. 1 Program on 27th March, 2013. Actors Biswanath, Neel Mukherjee, Jayjeet and Samrat came with their wives in the show. Rachana Banerjee anchored the program. In the first round the husbands were asked to stand near a background and the wives were asked to throw balloons full of colours. They failed to hit the balloons. Rachana Banerjee asked everyone stories relating to their romantic lives. Jayjit said that his wife was from North Bengal. When he took his wife to go to Lava, Lolegaon; she did two things in the journey. Either she slept in the vehicle or vomited. In the first case after the journey was over she gave birth to a child within the next few months. She again vomited during a journey to hill spot. This time it was due to other reasons. In the second round singer Shilajit came to perform in the show. He sang the song “tumi ja jinish guru”. Biswanath and Debaki sang the song “jay jay shiva Shankar”. Neel Mukherjee sang the song “ek tane te jemon temon.” All the singers did a great job. In the third round Biswanath was asked to play the character of Madhuri Dixit. His wife Debaki Mukherjee was asked to identify the character. Biswanath danced in the song “ek do teen char paanch” from the film Tezaab. In the fourth round, all the celebrities answered questions relating to riddles. Biswanath and his wife Debaki answered the maximum number of answers. So Debaki became the Didi No. 1 in the holy special episode. She participated in the rapid fire round. She could not win the round. But the gifts that she won were not taken back. Then all the celebrities played holi together with colours, gulal, aabir, etc. Rachana Banerjee anchored the program very well.

Neel Mukherjee stormed Zee Bangla Didi No. 1 Program.

Neel Mukherjee had acted in noted Bengali films like Teen Yaari Katha, Abar Byomkesh, etc. Rachana Banerjee invited him in the second round of the Zee Bangla Didi No. 1 program. In that round contestants are expected to sing songs. Neel Mukherjee did an innovative work. He acted in the film Teen Yaari Katha, Abar Byomkesh, in the past and received better reviews from the audience. In the second round contestants are expected to sing songs. Neel Mukherjee did an innovative work. He gave four subjects to the contestants and asked them to act out the scenes along with him. One contestant was given the subject of speaking to a husband who is deaf. The other contestant is the person who was given the subject of convincing a friend to marry her. The other contestant was given the subject of getting annoyed with the affair of the maid servant with the newspaper boy. All the contestants did well. In the previous show, that is Zee Bangla Ranngaghar Sudipa Mukherjee invited actress Subhadra and her husband. She taught a dish related to posto rui fish. Her husband sang a number of songs in the show. Both the shows had become popular with the bengalies. They are telecast on all the days. Rachana Banerjee had done a great job as anchor in Zee Bangla Didi No. 1 while Sudipa Mukherjee did a great job in the show Rannaghar.

Locket Chatterjee and Neel Mukherjee stormed Zee Bangla Banglar Sera Poribar.

Locket Chatterjee Bengali actress Locket Chatterjee and actor Neel Mukherjee stormed Zee Bangla Banglar Sera Poribar on 16th August, 2012. Prasenjit Chatterjee anchored the program for a long period of time. Prasenjit Chatterjee asked the wife of Neel Mukherjee about the manner in which both of them fell in love. The answer was very funny. She said that when Neel Mukherjee fell in love with her he was a struggler. He has Rs 50 in his pocket. He went to the restaurant with her. There he offered a Dosa. Both Neel and his wife shared the same dosa. Neel finished it from one side while his wife finished it from the other side. Neel laughed at the truth. He said he checked his pocket, whatever money was left to return home was kept aside and the rest of the money was spend on food. Different questions were asked both to the family of Locket Chatterjee and Neel Mukherjee. Locket Chatterjee’s family won more than Rs 50000 in katakuti round. Neel Mukherjee’s family also did well. But in the Bengali translation round none of Locket Chatterjee’s family or Neel Mukherjee’s family could get money as no one finished the game in time. Locket Chatterjee acted in many successful Bengali films in the recent past including Le Halwa Le, Fighter, Uro Chithi, etc. Neel Mukherjee had done well in many recent films like Teen Yaari Katha, Abar Byomkesh, etc. In the middle of the show Apurbo Roy came to do relief acting. He did a great job. Prasenjit Chatterjee anchored the program in style.

The film had been directed by Sudeshna Roy and Abhijit Guha. Bhoomi had composed the music of the film. In the film Neel Mukherjee, Parambrata Chatterjee and Rudraneel Ghosh were three friends sharing the same room in a rented house of Biplab Chatterjee. Biplab Chatterjee was the uncle of Neel Mukherjee. While Neel Mukherjee sold newspapers, Rudraneel Ghosh used to drive autorickshaw. Parambrata Chatterjee was unemployed. His mother sent money to him for sustainence. Parambrata Chatterjee loved Gargi Roy Choudhury, a theatre actress who later came to Kolkata to accomplish the career of TV serial artist. Neel Mukherjee loved Paoli Dam, a girl in her neighbourhood. Rudraneel Ghosh loved Rimjhim Mitra, the daughter of Biplab Chatterjee. None of their affairs mature at all. Saswata Chatterjee and June Malia came to stay in their house as tenant for sometime. They tried to commit suicide but were saved by Rudranil Ghosh, Neel Mukherjee and others. Geeta Dey played the role of the grandmother of the son Neel Mukherjee who loved him due to the death of the parents at an early childhood. Although none of the aspirations of the life of the three friends could be fulfilled they were merry and helped the cause of other neighbours. Neel Mukherjee, Parambrata Chatterjee and Rudraneel Ghosh acted well in the film. Although the film did not have great budget, viewers can enjoy the film.
