Even in 2008, Amir Khan’s film Ghajini was remarkable in nature. He played the role of a person who lost his memory every 20 minutes. He took revenge against the murder of his girlfriend, but he did it with his limitation in respect of the lost memory. He had played probably the role of his career. He came out with even greater hit film in 2009, The 3 idiots. The film had done more than 200 crores business till now. Even more than that the film directed by Raj Kumar Hirani, had a serious social message to give. The message is that the parents should not overburden the students with their own choices. Students should be allowed to specialize in the line they love and enjoy. Although filmfare awards had not been fare to Amir Khan, it does not matter for Amir Khan at all. He is the actor of the refined section of audience and will remain there for periods to come. In 2010, his venture Peepli Live had been ably appreciated by the critics and the audience as a whole. In 2011, his film Dhobi Ghaat did well in most part of India. He had acted well in the film. He also requested hall owners not to give break in the film, because it takes away the concentration in the film. Talash released in 2012 showed the intensity with which Amir Khan played the role of investigating officer who lost his own son who drowned in water. Amir Khan will also be seen in Dhoom 3 to be released in 2013. Udit Narayan sang “ai ajnabi” in Zee Saregamapa Program.

He came as guest judge and the other judges Kumar Shanu and Alka Yagnik greeted him very well. The participants at the beginning of the show sang the songs of Udit Narayan. One of the participants sang Rafi’s song “yamma yamma” from the film Shaan. Alka Yagnik commented that the word “raat” required special stress in the song. Udit Narayan said the words of Anand Bakshi were very philosophical. He said “kal hum kahan tum kahan” was very meaningful and beautiful. The anchor Jishu Sengupta called Udit Narayan on the stage to sing his hit songs. He came and sang the song “ai ajnabi”. He sang it in style. One of the contestants sang Udit Narayan’s hit song “papa keheten hai bara naam karega” from the film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak. It was composed by Anand Milind. The song brought Udit Narayan into limelight. The contestant sang very well. Alka Yagnik told him that it was her prediction that he was going to be famous in future. Kumar Shanu and Alka Yagnik were the other judges. At the beginning of the program the contestants gave tribute to the singers Kumar Shanu, Alka Yagnik and Udit Narayan. They sang the songs of them. Samayan Sarkar sang the song “ladki bari anjani hai” from the film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. He did a great job.

After the singing of a number of songs, Udit Narayan was requested to sing his hit songs. He sang his super hit song “o mitwa o mitwa” from the film Lagaan. He also sang the song “pehela nasha pehela khumar” which was being requested by Kumar Shanu.

Samayan Sarkar imitated how all the judges used to speak. He imitated Kumar Shanu for his patent comment “fatafati”. He imitated Alka Yagnik for her patent comment “wallah wallah subhan allah”. He also imitated the other judge Joy Sarkar who was absent on that day. He also imitated singer Abhijit. Lastly he imitated Udit Narayan, his mannerism related to singing.

Udit Narayan really graced the occasion in his down to earth style with Kumar Shanu and Alka Yagnik sharing their old experience in singing duets together. Jishu Sengupta anchored the program very well with wit and energy.

Udit Narayan was amazing in the X Factor Show.

Veteran singer Udit Narayan had glorified the X Factor Show, by his brilliant singing and presence. Being a great singer who had sung almost 15000 songs in his illustrious career which had spanned over 25 years, he had not shown any pride.

Sonu Nigam showed huge respect for Udit Narayan in the show. He said that there are few voices which glorifed Indian Playback Singing with the sweetness of the voice. If Mohammad Rafi was one of the greatest singers, then after him it was Udit Narayan. The singers of the new generation should learn from Sonu Nigam how to address the other singers. Udit Narayan gave a brilliant reply. He said that when he heard Sonu Nigam in a program in New Delhi in the early days, he understood that when Sonu Nigam came to Mumbai from New Delhi, he would dominate the world of bollywood singing which eventually happened.

The judges Shreya Ghoshal, Sonu Nigam and Sanjay Leela Bansali used their veto power to save Seema Jha and Diwana Group who were at the bottom two on the 12th August, 2011. No one was eliminated.

As far as performance on the night, Sajda Sisters were the best with the brilliant song “pal do pal ka saath hamaara” sung by Rafi and Asha Bhosle in the film Burning Train. It was one of the brilliant compositions of RD Burman and difficult to sing. The Sajda Sisters kept the qawalli andaz in the song intact and sang brilliantly. Udit Narayan praised them a lot.

Deewana Group sang the song “dharak dharak dyun uraye re” from the film Bunty Aur Babli. The song was originally sung by Udit Narayan. It was composed by Shankar Ehsaan Loy. They sang well. Seema Jha sang the song “ruki ruki yeh zindagi” from the film Mast. It was originally sung by Sunidhi Chauhan and Sonu Nigam. Nirmeeti Group sang the song “chal chaiya chaiya” which was originally sung by Sukhwinder Singh in the film Dil Se which was composed by AR Rehman.

Aditya Narayan sang with his father Udit Narayan, “do you wanna partner o partner” and mentioned that he was the most lovable father. Singers like Udit Narayan should regularly be invited in the X Factor and other shows.

For example Shabbir Kumar and Mohammad Aziz had imitated Rafi for their existence, Kumar Shanu, Abhijeet, Babul Supriyo imitated Kishore for their survival.Udit Narayan sang immortal songs like “papa kehte hai”, “akele hai” for Amir Khan in Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, “tum pass aye” for Shahrukh Khan in the film Kuch Kuch hota Hai, “chand chupa badal se” for Salman Khan in Hum dil de chuke sanam. He had received filmfare awards a number of times as best singer and is probably one of the most consistent singers other than Sonu Nigam. Review of Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai.

Anil Kapoor had acted in different types of films in his illustrious career. In Hamara Dil Aapke Pass Hai, he did majestic work opposite Aishwarya Rai. It was Boney Kapoor’s venture which was given shape and direction by Anil Kapoor.

Anil Kapoor was a wealthy industrialist in the film. He nurtured a daughter and a son who were given birth by Anil Kapoor’s father but the paternity of the children were denied.

Aishwarya Rai saw a murder being committed by Mukesh Rishi in the open street. After the murder Ash went to the police station and lodged an FIR. After that Mukesh Rishi was arrested and kept in custody. His relative Puru Raj Kumar raped Ash after the incident and she was thrown out of her house for those reasons.

Anil Kapoor gave shelter to Ash in his house. He also gave job to her. She fulfilled the vacuum of the mother to the children he considered Ash as her mother. The song “its my family” showed the unity in the house.

But again Anil Kapoor’s father lodged a complaint against Ash in terms of dong illegal business. Anil Kapoor blasted his father that and brought Ash back.

At the end of the film when he came to know that Puru Raj Kumar raped Ash, he assaulted him and took him to the PS once more. There was a social message in the film which said that when a girl is raped in Indian society instead of pointing the finger at the rapist the society points the finger at the victim.

Many victims even fail to express what happened due to the mockery being made by the members of the society. The performance of Anil Kapoor and Ash were excellent. Even the character artists like Anupam Kher, Johnny Lever, Satish Kaushik, etc., complimented the hero and heroin in the film. The songs in the film were decent with Udit Narayan doing a great job.

In totality it was a very decent film made by Boney Kapoor having a social message.
