In 9 days Animal has done 345 crore business in India and 640 crores business worldwide. Animal is a 2023 Indian Hindi-language action drama film[5] directed and edited by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Pranay Reddy Vanga and Saurabh Gupta. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Murad Khetani and Pranay Reddy Vanga under T-Series Films, Bhadrakali Pictures and Cine1 Studios. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna and Tripti Dimri. In the film, Ranvijay "Vijay" Singh learns about an assassination attempt on his father and sets out to exact revenge. The film was officially announced in January 2021, along with the title of the film. Principal photography commenced in April 2022 and wrapped by April 2023. The film has music composed by JAM8, Vishal Mishra, Jaani, Manan Bhardwaj, Shreyas Puranik, Ashim Kemson and Harshwardhan Rameshwar, cinematography handled by Amit Roy and editing by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. With a runtime of 201 minutes (3 hours 21 minutes), the film was one of the longest Indian films made.[6][7] Animal was theatrically released on 1 December 2023 in standard and IMAX formats and received mixed reviews from critics.[8] Earning around ₹600.58 crore (US$75 million), Animal has emerged as sixth highest-grossing Indian film of 2023, fourth highest-grossing Hindi film of 2023, 15th highest-grossing Indian film and highest-grossing A (adults only) rated Indian film of all time.[9] Plot Ranvijay "Vijay" Singh is the son of Balbir Singh, a Delhi-based business magnate who heads the generational steel company "Swastik Steels corp." His family includes Balbir, his mother, grandfather Rajdheer and sisters Reet and Roop. Vijay has adored Balbir since childhood, but Balbir neglects him and behaves harshly due to his busy schedule. When Vijay brings an AK-47 to school and hurts a group of boys who bullied Reet, Balbir sends him away to a boarding school in United States. Years later, Vijay returns to Delhi after completing his education and attends the engagement of former classmate Geetanjali "Geeta" Iyengar, whom he has always loved. He convinces her to break her engagement and choose him. During Balbir's 60th birthday, Vijay fights with Reet's husband Varun and is kicked out of the house. He promptly marries Geeta and moves to the United States, where they have two children. Eight years later, he learns that his father was shot by unidentified assailants. He returns to India and sets out to find the person responsible for the assassination attempt. Vijay goes to his native village in Punjab to meet his great-uncle Dalbir Singh, reconnecting with him after several years of no contact, and rounds up his cousins to help in the mission. He sets up a doppelgänger for Balbir who is killed by Asrar Haque's men. After discovering that Varun was involved in the attempt, Vijay kills him at a work meeting where Asrar is present. Later, at a hotel where Vijay is meeting with an arms dealer, Asrar and his assailants arrive in the hundreds to kill him. After a lengthy battle, Vijay defeats them but sustains brutal injuries and goes into a coma. Upon waking from his coma two weeks later, Vijay eventually receives a transplant for his failing heart, successfully recovers, and meets Zoya, the fiancé of his donor. The two begin an affair and Zoya falls in love with him. She reveals that she lied about her identity and was actually sent by Asrar's mute younger brother Abrar to honey trap him. Vijay had known all along about Zoya's true identity and had used her to learn the identity of the perpetrator. His grandfather reveals that Asrar and his younger brothers Abrar and Abid are actually related to their family, as they are the grandsons of Dalbir and Rajdheer's late younger brother Shamsher Singh. Rajdheer had banished Shamsher from the family decades ago due to his shady dealings and immoral practices. Shamsher's son Azim (Asrar, Abid and Abrar's father), returned years later to ask for his share of the property, but Balbir refused. Shamsher torched himself to death in retaliation, which Abrar witnessed, rendering him mute and traumatized. These incidents served as catalysts for Asrar and his brothers to seek revenge on Balbir. Abrar now lives in Scotland and has converted to Islam. Vijay and his cousins kill Abrar's men and learn that Abrar and Abid plan to escape to another country in their private jet. Vijay and his men stop the plane and a brutal fight ensues. Vijay eventually slits Abrar's throat and returns to India, his goal accomplished. During Diwali, Balbir reveals that he has terminal cancer and realizes that his upbringing is the reason behind Vijay's aggression. He apologizes and reconciles with Vijay, who is overjoyed after finally receiving the love and affection from his father he had thirsted for all his life. In the post-credits scene, Azrar, Abid and Abrar's other younger brother Aziz, a professional assassin in Istanbul, learns that Vijay is responsible for killing his two brothers. After undergoing plastic surgery to become Vijay's doppelgänger, Aziz, with his only remaining brother Abid, set out to exact vengeance on Vijay and his family. It was further reported that he would produce the venture along with Murad Khetani, Ashwin Varde, Bhushan Kumar and Kishan Kumar under Cine1 Studios and T-Series.[10] On 10 October, the company's and Vanga's new production banner Bhadrakali Pictures announced their collaboration for Vanga's next directional; marking their second collaboration after Kabir Singh (2019).[11] In early December, Vanga was reported to have approached Ranbir Kapoor to play the lead role in the film. ETimes reported that Kapoor was "keen" to work on the film, however, will finalize only after hearing the final script, which was still progressing writing.[12] In June 2020, however, it was reported that Vanga met Kapoor in January and narrated another script, which was reportedly titled Devil.[13] In late December, Anil Kapoor was reported to be part of the cast.[14] On 1 January 2021, the company's made an official public announcement of the venture, revealing also the title of the film and the crew.[15] In late April, Bobby Deol and Parineeti Chopra were cast, with the former playing lead antagonist role, while the latter plays lead actress role.[16] In March 2022, Rashmika Mandanna was reported to dance in an item number for the film.[17] The same month, it was reported that Chopra had backed out of the film, due to schedule conflicts, and was replaced by Mandanna.[18] On 2 April, Mandanna's commitments were officially announced.[19] Mandanna called it "a dream come true.

He had sustained the heat and storm of bollywood films for more than 26 years and even at an age of 53, still remains an indispensable figure in bollywood industry. Although Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan took the industry by storm from the mid-90s, but Anil Kapoor had given one hit or the other in all those years. Furthermore those actors who had come with Anil Kapoor like Jackie Shroff, Sunny Deol and others shifted to character acting, but Anil Kapoor still remained hero in the recent period. That describes his talent in totality. In 2008, he had played different types of roles. In Race, the first super hit film of 2008, Anil Kapoor played the role of detective who had solved the mystery relating to the death of Saif Ali Khan. He disclosed the fact that Saif Ali Khan had not died but his death was planted. He also witnessed the death of Akshay Khanna when he competed with Saif Ali Khan in a car race. The film was related to the devolvement of family property between the two brothers. Anil Kapoor balanced the suspense –drama with action stunts of Saif Ali Khan, Akshay Khanna and dance sequences of Katrina Kaif, Bipasha Basu and Sameera Reddy. The songs composed by Pritam like “pehli nazar”, “allah duhayi hai” became landmark hits in the early part of the year. He acted in a negative role in the big banner film Tashan with Saif Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar. He sent Akshay Kumar to collect the debts of Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor. Akshay Kumar discovered his childhood relationship with Kareena Kapoor and took revenge against Anil Kapoor at the end of the film in a power-pact action sequence. Although the film could not do justice to the star-cast and high expectations of the audience of the country, the funny performance of Anil Kapoor could not be ignored. Anil Kapoor was sublime in Subhash Ghai’s musical venture Yuvvraaj that was released in the last part of the year 2008. It was the first time that Subhash Ghai, AR Rehman and Gulzar had united together to compose the music of the film, and the music had already become hit. The hit songs of the film included “tu muskura”, “shanno shanno”, “to mera dost hai”, etc. Although Subhash Ghai concentrated more on the romantic presentation of the relationship between Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in the film, the performance of Anil Kapoor as the elder brother and an innocent character appealed to the viewers the most. The audience has so much weakness for Anil Kapoor that the scene where Zaid Khan had slapped Anil Kapoor had created negative impact on the crowds and there were requests of editing of the scene. Although the film did not get box-office Anil Kapoor’s splendid performance was appreciated. In 2009, the film directed by Anil Kapoor titled Short Cut, got critical acclamation. He had cast Akshay Khanna in the lead role who played the role of a devoted director. He was cheated by the actor Arshad Warsi who got success in films by short cut. Akshay Khanna used him in his own film and took revenge against the cheating committed by Arshad Warsi. Sonu Nigam’s song “kal nau baje” appealed to the viewers. The film he had produced in 2009, titled Slumdog Millionaire, won numerous number of Oscar awards, including the best composer award won by AR Rehman. Anil Kapoor is continuing with his directoral projects ahead. In his long career, Anil Kapoor had acted with giants like Dilip Kumar and Big B in Sholay; Dilip Kumar, Nasiruddin Shah, Jackie Shroff in Karma, Nutan in Meri Jung, etc. He had performed in every type of film including romantic films, comedy films, action dramas, serious films, etc. He had acted different actresses ranging from Padmini Kolhapuri, Sri Devi, Madhuri Dixit to Tabu, Aishwarya Rai, Lara Dutta, to name a few. Articles after articles can be devoted to the versatile actor. His notable films include Mr. India, Meri Jung, Tezaab, Pukar, Nayak, Virasat, No Entry, to name a few. In 2015 also he did well in the film Welcome Back opposite John Abraham and Nana Patekar. Salman Khan's Race 3 did business of 171 crores in 15 days

Salman Khan's Race 3 did business of 171 crores in 15 days. It ended up being hit and not blockbuster. In 2018 it had been the 2nd highest grosser after Padmavat. In a flashback, that portrays Handia village of 1970s, the history of Singh family is depicted. Both the Singh brothers used to supply weapons to Indian army. Local politicians of Handia asked them for illegal weapons to which Ranchor refuses. His refusal causes rivalry with a local politician. One day, during an ambush on Shamsher's truck, Vijendar Singh's (Manav Vij) son (Anurag Arora) is killed by Ranchor's gunshot. One day, Ranchor dies when his car is exploded by a bomb. Singh family is then sought to be as a legitimized anti-state and are accused of supplying weapons to enemies. Shamsher sends Sikander to Beijing for studies and takes Suraj, Sanjana and their widowed mother to Cambodia. Back to present day Al-Shifa, on one night, Yash talks about his girlfriend. Sikander reveals that in Beijing he fell in love with a girl named Jessica (Jacqueline Fernandez) who severed him. Shamsher's childhood friend Brijmohan (Rajesh Sharma) tells him that his friend's hotel was used by politicians for their lascivious motives where all the activity was captured on a spy video camera and stored on hard disk. The hard disk was kept at a bank's locker in Cambodia. Shamsher appoints Sikander on discovery of hard disk who promises him to get back the disk. The Next day, during a party it is revealed that Jessica was actually Yash's girlfriend. Sikander and Jessica meet privately in the security room. The very next day, Suraj and Sanjana (twins), who had recorded Sikander-Jessica's meet, screen the video to Yash. A furious Yash goes to Jessica's apartment and finds Sikander present with her. Sikander later tells him that the both of their past interactions with Jessica were planned by Suraj and Sanjana (twins), as part of their plan to destroy Sikander. Yash teams up with Sikander against the twins but disguises to be with the twins also. Sikander, the twins, Yash and Jessica execute the mission to recover the hard disk. After handing over the hard disk to Shamsher, he eliminates Sikander by planting explosives in Sikander's car and heads to conference with politicians whose objectionable videos were on the disk. Shamsher tells about Sikander's death to the politicians, in the presence of the twins. He then plugs hard disk and is shocked to find out that the disk was not the original one. Rather, it contained only one video of Sikander's mother. Sikander's mother self filmed a video in which she reveals the truth that Sikander's father (Ranchor) was killed by Shamsher, and the twins were Ranchor's kids. Sikander arrives and tells how he escaped from explosion, thanking to the timely intervention by Raghu Chacha (Sharat Saxena). He further reveals that he knew this secret since ten years and been pretending to be loyal to Shamsher. Shamsher tells that Yash is his real son. A fight scene in the desert between Sikander and Yash, Sikander demolishes the entire army of Shamsher and makes both Yash and Shamsher to surrendered to Jessica who happens to be an Interpol officer. The arrested father-son duo are flown to their native village Handia. Shamsher is seen bribing a police officer during jail proceedings, while Yash is seen to toning is body inside the prison cell. Sikander, reuniting with his twin siblings in Al-Shifa reveals the plot of handing over the original hard disk to Jessica. In conversation with the twins and Jessica, Shamsher makes a metaphorical statement about "Sher" (tiger) of a new race. The music of the film was decent.

The audience has so much weakness for Anil Kapoor that the scene where Zaid Khan had slapped Anil Kapoor had created negative impact on the crowds and there were requests of editing of the scene. Although the film did not get box-office Anil Kapoor’s splendid performance was appreciated. In 2009, the film directed by Anil Kapoor titled Short Cut, got critical acclamation. He had cast Akshay Khanna in the lead role who played the role of a devoted director. He was cheated by the actor Arshad Warsi who got success in films by short cut. Akshay Khanna used him in his own film and took revenge against the cheating committed by Arshad Warsi. Sonu Nigam’s song “kal nau baje” appealed to the viewers. The film he had produced in 2009, titled Slumdog Millionaire, won numerous number of Oscar awards, including the best composer award won by AR Rehman. Anil Kapoor is continuing with his directoral projects ahead. Happy birthday to gorgeous icon Sri Devi.

The viewers of bollywood films wish happy birthday to gorgeous icon and evergreen actress Sri Devi on 13th August, 2013. She was the most dominating figure in bollywood films in the 80s. Her excellent dancing skills gave her an edge over other actresses of that period. Recently her film English Vinglish received awards in IIFA awards in Macao. Her director received best debutant director award. She was brilliant in the film Himmatwala opposite Jeetender. The film was a South Indian production which was released in the early 1980s and the dancing skills of both Sri Devi and Jeetender mesmerized the viewers. The music of the film was also very popular. Sri Devi got a landmark role in Feroz Khan’s film Jaanbaaz. She played the role of the wife of Jeetender who was given drugs forcefully by Shakti Kapoor, Raza Murad and their men. She died due to consumption of the drugs. Feroz Khan along with Anil Kapoor took revenge against her brutal killing. Sri Devi’s combination with Anil Kapoor was appreciated by the viewers of the 80s. Their film Mr. India, directed by Shekhar Kapoor became everlasting hit. Sri Devi displayed her comedy skills as against the innocent performance of Anil Kapoor in the film. Anil Kapoor’s device for becoming invisible amazed the viewers. Amrish Puri was matchless in his performance in the role of Mogambo. Sri Devi’s dance number opposite Anil Kapoor in a blue dress during a rainy day haunted many youngstars of the 80s. Big B acted in many films opposite Sri Devi including Inquilab, Akhree Rasta and others. Most of those films ended up being blockbusters. In Akhree Raasta she had show her mettle opposite another South Indian beauty Jaya Prada. In Chandi, Sri Devi looked gorgeous. Rishi Kapoor was considered to be most romantic actor of the 80s. Sri Devi had the challenge of matching him in a Yash Raj film, where shooting is done in Switzerland and costly dresses are used for the stars. Her performance in films opposite Rajnikant and Kamal Hassan became super hit in the 8os. She acted in hit bollywood films opposite Rajnikant like Chaalbaaz where she played a double role. She was excellent in the film Sadma opposite Kamal Hassan. Her abnormal acting which was required in the role and later on a different behavior really made the viewers spellbound. Although viewers cannot expect the same glamour and charm of Sri Devi in her late 30s, yet they want her presence in bollywood films, as lot of acting is still left in her. The viewers expect her to continue the flawless character acting like English Vinglish in the other films as well.

The viewers of bollywood films wish happy birthday to beauty queen and dancing queen Madhuri Dixit on 15th May, 2013. She ruled bollywood films in the late 80s and 90s. In fact after her retirement of films no single actress of bollywood films could be associated with the number one position. In 2013, for celebrating 100 years of Indian cinema when polling was conducted by History TV, amongst actresses Madhuri Dixit received the maximum number of votes. From Tezaab, she dethroned Sri Devi from the number one position and created sensation in bollywood. Her dance performance in the song “ek do teen” in Tezaab, surprised the viewers. Her pair with Anil Kapoor was well accepted by the viewers. The hit films of the immortal pair include Ram Lakhan, Khel, Jeevan Ek Sunghursh, Zindagi Ek Jua, Parinda, etc. In the late 90s, she proved herself in every type of film and was cast by different directors and producers. The successful pair had produced both commercial masala films like Ram Lakhan directed by Subhash Ghai, and also off-beat films like Parinda, which was made for the intellectual audience. She acted in few films few year back like Aaja Nachle, but the films did not create the same magic as that of the 80s and 90s. Last year she judged the dance competition held in Private Channel in India. She came from USA and gave tips to the different participants including Shekhar Suman, Ankita Lokhunde and others. She also attended the filmfare awards. After judging the program she returned back to USA. Madhuri Dixit attended some of the award functions later on. All the superstars of the present period like Hrithik Roshan appreciated Madhuri Dixit. Shahrukh Khan danced with Madhuri Dixit in one of the award shows. Priyanka Chopra dedicated certain dance numbers to Madhuri Dixit in the same show. Shootout at Wadala should do 100 crores business.

In 2013, there are not many films which have the big budget status. Not many films are going to do business worth 100 crores. Only film Race 2 had done business of more than 100 crores. Himmatwala was a high profile film. But it could not do business of 100 crores. Shootout at Wadala is other film which has huge hype and grandieur. It had been released on 3rd May, 2013. In the first 2 days it had done business of more than 20 crores. The film had been directed by Sanjay Gupta. It had been a sequel to the film Shootout at Lokhundwala. The film had been produced by Ekta Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor, Sanjay Gupta and Anuradha Gupta. The music had been composed by Anu Malik, Mustafa Zahid, Anand Raj Anand, Nadeem Saifi and Anjaan Meet. The film is based on the literature of Hussain Zaidi titled “Dongri to Dubai.” In the film John Abraham was a law-abiding citizen and good student. But his brother was involved in underworld activities. When he brought Kangana Ranaut to meet his mother, the gangstars attacked his brother, he tried to save him. His brother killed one of the gangstars. The police office instead of framing the charge of section 302 IPC only against his brother, also framed it against him. He got more than 78% marks, but had to get life imprisonment. The police officer was bribed by Ranjit and his anti-social group. John Abraham met Tushar Kapoor in the jail and got training for body building from another prisoner in the jail. He fought against other men in the jail. Mahesh Manjarekhar and other police officers built a team of Sonu Sood and his brother Manoj Bajpai. They killed the underworld gangs whom the police could not kill with their uniform. Anil Kapoor resumed duty in his jurisdiction and started encountering the underworld mafias. John Abraham got out of the jail and initially went to Manoj Bajpai with Tushar Kapoor to work under him. When he raised his voice against Sonu Sood, Manoj Bajpai slapped him. From that time, John Abraham built his own “bhai-gang” with Tushar Kapoor and others. He used the rivals of Manoj Bajpai to kill him. Then Anil Kapoor took the details of John Abraham from Kangana Ranaut and killed him at an encounter at Wadala. The film was full of action. There were a number of item songs like “bubli badmash hai” on Priyanka Chopra, “Laila” by Sunny Leone, and “aala re aala” by Sophie Choudhury. But the performances of John Abraham, Anil Kapoor, Manoj Bajpai and Sonu Sood were excellent. The killing of John Abraham at the hands of Anil Kapoor may not be liked by many audience, as he wanted to surrender. Instead of taking him to the prison, Anil Kapoor shot him to death. 2013 can be the year of John Abraham, his first film Race 2 did more than 100 crores business. Shootout at Wadala is definitely going to be a blockbuster. No films of Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan had been released in 2013 till now. So John Abraham is the clear winner at this time. The film was based on real life incident, and showed the weaknesses of the Mumbai Police in combating the underworld. The film has all the potential to cross 100 crores business.
