Soon, Isha reciprocates his feelings for her. Shiva tells her that he is an orphan who never knew his father, and his mother died in an accident when he was a baby. Meanwhile, in Delhi, Mohan Bhargav is attacked by Zor and Raftar for a piece of Brahmāstra he owns. Mohan manages to disguise it inside his Mayāstra before escaping by using the Vanārastra. When he returns to retrieve the piece, he is captured by Junoon, who works for the mysterious Dev. Under Junoon's possession, Mohan reveals that the second piece is protected by an artist and archaeologist named Anish Shetty in Kashi. The third piece is with Guru, the current leader of the Brahmānsh. Before he can reveal the location of Brahmānsh (Āshram), Mohan commits suicide. Shiva sees a vision of Mohan's encounter with Junoon. He and Isha head for Kashi to warn and save Anish but are interrupted by Raftar, who now wields Vānarāstra. Anish defeats him using the Nandiāstra before escaping with Shiva and Isha. While going to Himachal Pradesh, where Āshram is located, they are chased by Junoon and Zor in a truck. Anish gives the second piece of the Brahmāstra to Shiva and stays to fight Junoon and Zor, only to be killed. Shiva and Isha are chased by Raftar to Āshram where Shiva kills him using the Agnyāstra after he tried to kill Isha. Big B had played a huge innings as a character actor and his films like Black, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, etc., showed the viewers, that after Dilip Kumar and Sanjeev Kumar, Big B was an actor with whom the directors could do any experiment. Day by day his acting skills are just getting better and better and he is experimenting in different types of roles. Even in Kaun Banega Crorepati he is the anchor and his profound educational background and pure hindi accent amazes the viewers. Sony TV cannot think about any other anchor other than Amitabh Bacchan. In 2018 he is acting in the film Thugs of Hindustan. The 20th Kolkata International Film Festival 2014, started off with a brilliant inauguration in Netaji Indoor Stadium on 10th November, 2014. It was a brilliant occasion by every standard. Mamta Banerjee, the Chief Minister of West Bengal managed to invite the major dignitaries from different parts of the world and especially India. The 8 day film festival started with the inauguration on 10th November, 2014. The legends who graced the occasion included Amitabh Bacchan, Jaya Bacchan, Aishwarya Rai Bacchan, Abhishek Bacchan, Tanuja, Shahrukh Khan and many others. The August gathering also saw Bengali legends like Ranjit Mullick, Madhabi Mukherjee, Moushumi Chatterjee, Moonmoon Sen and others. Shahrukh Khan in his short speech made sure that he could say something in Bengali. This is the third time he had inaugurated a film festival and he said in his own words that honest creation is what the spectators expect from the creators. Amitabh Bacchan gave an extended speech. He did huge homework for that. He emphasized on women empowerment. He mentioned that both in Bengali films and hindi films, the directors and writers emphasized on women’s social standing. Sarat Chandra Chatterjee’s Parineeta, Biraj Bahu told the same. Tagore’s stories also reflected them. While directors like Bimal Roy with films like Bandini, Sujata, Mehboob Khan with films like Mother India showed women’s individuality in Indian society, renowned Bengali directors like Satyajit Ray in his films Charulata, Pather Panchali had showed the different facets of women characters and also it was shown in films of other giants like Tapan Sinha who showed it in films like Jotugriha. Australian Filmmaker Paul Cox gave a brilliant speech explaining the importance of film festivals which brings expression of different countries and connects the countries together. Amol Palekar, Irfan Khan, Tanuja, Jaya Bacchan all congratulated the Bengali audience and the love for films in Bengal. Mamta Banerjee invited everyone and talked about the film festival showing films of 60 countries in Kolkata for the next 8 days. She also said what Bengal thinks today India thinks tomorrow. So Bengali writers, filmmakers and actors had been inspirations for other directors, actors of other parts of the world. So she expected everyone to enjoy the festival for the next few days.

Aamir Khan always had put up great efforts to portray his character. It happened in this film as well. Amitabh Bacchan also did a great job at his age. Yet due to negative publicity, the film struggled in getting box office success. Presently it has collected around 140 crores. It is sad that the audience could not get the historical message of the period drama. A lot of effort was put up in building the ships that were captured in the original story. The action stunts were also mindblowing. Music was good. Photography was good. Viewers instead of reading the negative reviews should go and watch the film. Set in 1795, the film follows a band of Thugs led by Khudabaksh Azaad, who aspires to free Hindostan (the Indian subcontinent) from the rule of the expanding British East India Company. Alarmed, British commander John Clive sends a small-time Thug from Awadh, Firangi Mallah, to infiltrate and counter the threat.[5] Produced on an estimated budget of ₹300 crore (US$42 million), Thugs of Hindostan is the most expensive Bollywood film. Initially titled Thug, the film marked the first time Khan and Bachchan featured together as leads, and was the second collaboration between Khan, Acharya and Kaif, after Dhoom 3 (2013). Principal photography commenced on 5 June 2017 in Malta; the film was also shot in Thailand and Mehrangarh. It was put on a short hiatus after Bachchan was injured on set. Filming concluded in March 2018, the final schedule being completed in Rajasthan. The soundtrack was composed by Ajay-Atul, with lyrics written by Amitabh Bhattacharya.

As of 13 November 2018, Thugs of Hindostan has grossed ₹218.07 crore ($33.49 million) at the worldwide box office.[4] It has also recovered approximately ₹170 crore ($26.11 million) from satellite, digital and music rights. In 1795, when the Indian subcontinent was known as Hindustan or Hindostan, king Mirza Sikander Baig was killed by John Clive. The residents of his kingdom are massacred, and the land is annexed by the British. The only surviviors are his daughter, Zafira Baig, and general, Khudabaksh. Khudabaksh defeats the retreating enemy soldiers, and raises Zafira as his daughter, training her in the arts of warfare. Years later, Khudabaksh, now known as Jahaazi, leads a band of Indian bandits known as Thugs, who specialize in sea-based warfare and expose a serious challenge to the expanding British East India Company which had, by then, seized control of large parts of India. John Clive is alarmed, and assigns his right-hand to counter the rising threat posed by the Thugs. Firangi Mallah, a good-for-nothing, small-time Thug who makes his living by stealing necessary accessories, is recruited by the British to meet this challenge. He appears before Jahaazi and asks him for his refuge. Jahaazi accepts, and Firangi turns into a routine informer for the Company. He finds solace with a dancer named Suraiyya. Firangi aims to be an English-man himself, and hence dresses up as one in many circumstances. Firangi betrays the Thugs on many occasions. Jahaazi, who wishes to straighten the wayward Firangi and bring him into the Thug life, gets suspicious and realizes the truth. He confronts Firangi and they have a duel. Jahaazi looses, and concedes defeat to Firangi, while expressing hope that he will change his ways. At the final encounter with the British at an abandoned fort, Jahaazi and Zafira fight the British and find themselves outnumbered and their ranks falling. Firangi and his cronies suddenly appear and turn the tide of the battle. Zafira defeats Clive, and justice is served. Jahaazi looks to the sky and realizes the unfertile land has now borne fruit, suggesting that Firangi has now become an empathetic human capable of greatness.
