Review of Jaane Tu Yaa Jaane Naa.

Review of Jaane Tu Yaa Jaane Naa.

Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, directed by Abbas Tyrewala and produced by Amir Khan had been a good attempt. The new performers including Imran Khan (Amir Khan’s relative) and Genelia Dsouza stands out.

Imran (Jai) loved a girl named Aditi, but could not disclose it. He was the son of Rajput played by Naseerudin Shah who had died. His mother never wanted him to get involved with violence which was the hallmark of Rajputs. His ancestors believed that without beating anyone, without riding on horse and going to jail, no Rajput could claim themselves as true Rajputs.

Jai believed in nonviolence whereas Aditi used to get irritated due to that. Jai and Aditi with the help of other friends found a true partner for each other. Jai found a girl who was of good nature but her parents never had peace at home, they used to fight each other out. Aditi got involved with a boyfriend who could not forget his own affairs but hated Aditi’s friends. He even slapped Aditi out of frustration.

Jai went to his house, slapped him and got to jail. There Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan helped him to ride on a horse and stop his friend Aditi to go to US. He went to the airport and brought her back.

The music in the film composed by AR Rehman was melodious including songs like “pappu cant dance sala”, “kabhi kabhi” had become successful after release of the film. The performance of the young actors and actresses were impressive.

Although the subject of the film is very simple, due to realistic treatment of the director the film has ingredients of becoming successful. Imran Khan and the young performers have future in bollywood films.

Amir Khan should come with more subjects like this in future.
