Child singers Azmat Hussain and Priyanshi Srivastava are back in Zee TV Saregamapa Little Champs. Both of them were eliminated previously on merit. But they were brought back on 23rd July, 2011.
Mahaguru Alka Yagnik and the three judges Javed Ali, Kailash Kher and Adnan Sami encouraged Azmat and Priyanshi. All the participants sang difficult songs having classical renditions. Azmat sang the song “saiyan” which was originally sung by Kailash Kher. Kailash Kher himself got surprised with the performance and also sang himself.
Singer Niladri Chatterjee sang Manna Dey’s song “lapak jhapak” from the film Boot Polish composed by Shankar Jaikishan. Salman sang a classical song which brought tears in the eyes of Kailash Kher and Alka Yagnik. His sereneness of the rendition of the song was unique. His grandfather came to the show. Nitin sang a brilliant song and also shared the fact of doing farming in his native place in Himachal Pradesh. He had cultivated onion.
Barnali Hota sang Lataji’s song “megha chaye aadhi raat” from the film Sharmilee composed by SD Burman. Rimsha sang the song “bhor ayi”. Priyanshi sang the song “baras ja”. Sanjana sang the song “pyar karne wale” from the film Shaan composed by RD Burman and on Saturday sang Shubha Mudgal’s song “ab ke sawan”. Most of the songs were related to the arrival of monsoons in India.
The competition had become more stiff and the fate of the participants will be determined by the voters.
