Sharon Stone and Hollywood films.

Sharon Stone and Hollywood films.

Sharon Stone had remained one of the powerful actresses of Hollywood films and became indispensable in the 90s. Born on March 10th, 1958, Sharon Stone had the craze for films during the time when she lived in Meadville, Pennysylvenia.

In the 70s, Sharon won the crown of Miss Crawford County in Meadville. Then she shifted to New Jersey and worked in Ford Modeling Agency in New York. She featured in advertisements of Burger King, Clairol and Maybelline. She started her acting with the film Stardust Memories in 1980.

But she got proper role in the film Deadly Blessing in 1981. She got a notable role opposite James Caan in the film Les Uns et Les Autres in 1982 as she was discovered by French director Claude Lelouch. In 1984, she also acted in the film Irreconcilable Differences opposite Ryan O Neil, Shelley Long and Drew Barrymore. Her other films in the 80s like Action Jackson, King Solomon’s Mines did mediocre business.

She rose to stardom with the film Total Recall in 1990 opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger. She balanced the action skills of Arnold with her own soft style of dialogue delivery. Then she acted in the role of her lifetime of that of Catherine Tramell in the film Basic Instinct. She was a serial killer in the film who was identified by Michael Douglous. She agreed to give bold scenes in the film due to request of the director Verhoeven, specially the scene where the police interrogated her.

Her other hit films of that period included The Quick and The Dead. She received Golden Globe Award for her best performance in the film Casino, opposite Robert De Niro. Her film If These Walls Could Talk 2 in 2002 also created attention. She played the role of a lesbian in the film. Her film Basic Instinct 2: Risk Addiction was released in 2006 after being held up for litigation purposes. But this time it did not get that amount of attention.

Her films should be restored. The viewers are waiting anxiously for her next releases Satisfaction and The Guest Room this year.
