On 19th March, 2019, Sourav Ganguly brought the musical stars in Zee Bangla Dadagiri Program. The celebrities included Hariharan, Jolly Mukherjee, Monomoy Bhattacharya, kirtan singer Sima Acharya, music director Indradeep Dasgupta and singer Madhurima.
Monomoy Bhattacharya told Sourav Ganguly that he was the 5th generation of Jadubhatta. As his father was a disciple of rabindrasangeet singer Subinoy Roy and his mother was a disciple was classical singer Ratneshwar Mukherjee, he had music in his blood. He learned music from renowned singers like Jotileshwar Mukherjee, Pandit Ajay Chakravarty, Sukumar Mitra and others. Sourav Ganguly asked him to sing a song.
Sourav Ganguly asked Jolly Mukherjee to sing a song. He sang the song “rang bhare” from the film Chandni. He also said that he had sung many songs composed by RD Burman.
Hariharan sang ghazals in the show. He said he learned karnatic classical songs. He sang in many films and his beginning was the song in the hindi film Gaman composed by music director Jaidev. He sang many songs composed by Illaiaraja.
Singer Sima Acharya talked about her control in Padabali Kirtan. She said Kirtan had its own gharana. In the recent years the popularity had reduced down. She was trying to revive the popularity.
Singer Madhurima also told Sourav Ganguly about her musical career. She said that Kumar Shanu encouraged her to venture into Bollywood music as she had a different voice. She sang in Surinam and did a job there.
At the end of the show Hariharan gave maximum right answers and won the championship. Sourav Ganguly anchored the program very well.
