Moushumi Saha. Bengali actress Moushumi Saha stormed Zee Bangla Rannaghar Program. She had been a successful actress both in Bengali stage and also Bengali cinema. Sudipa Mukherjee hosts the show. She asked Moushumi Saha what is the difference of acting in Bengali theatre and Bengali cinema. She said that both the forms of acting is absolutely different. In films or teleserials close shots are given. There is scope of speaking softly. There is scope of showing less amounts of mannerisms. When the same thing is done in theatre it is a different ballgame. The performance requires passion. Dialogues should be loud. The expression should be accompanied by body movement. She also said that she came from a middle class family. She struggled a lot before reaching the level where she got roles in bengali films and teleserials. The actors and actresses in the theater should remember they are performing for the visitors in the last row also. It is more challenging to perform in theatre than cinema or serials. In the show Moushumi Saha taught the art of cooking the dish “patal posto”. It is a dish prepared for native bengalies. The dish is also very popular during the summer months.
