Review of Sarkar Raj.
Sarkar Raj, is the sequel of Big B’s successful film Sarkar. It is directed by Ram Gopal Verma and Abhishek Bacchan and Aishwarya Rai had also acted along with Big B in the film.
A CEO of an international firm brings a proposal for making a power plant in the villages of Maharashtra. Abhishek Bacchan and Aishwarya Rai convinced Big B (Sarkar) about the benefits of the project and then went to different villages to convince the rural people about the project.
Abhishek Bacchan’s (his character is called Shankar in the film) wife was killed in an accident. Then he was also shot down. Then Big B (Sarkar) also took revenge by killing a businessman from Gujarat, who was responsible for all the events.
In the last scene of the film Big B asked his wife to ask Chikoo (his grandson) to comeback from Nagpur with his mother (both of them were not shown in the film). The film ended with Aishwarya asking for a cup of tea.
The film had a story of Enron embedded in it and there was very powerful performance from all the actors. Big B is still as versatile as ever. Aishwarya Rai had shown that she had concentrated more on acting than glamour in the recent times. Abhishek Bachan did well in the film.
The film has all the ingredients of successful action movie. Only the worry is that the viewers these days are not that fond of seeing too much violence, unless the subject-matter is absolutely new. Let us hope that the film storms box-office and becomes one of the biggest blockbusters of 2008.
